i love the derwent products, they are of very high quality, its a standard you can rely on. started using Derwent pencils . art media in 2005, when i took some art classes at local community college.

I love these pencils and they seem to work for my style of drawing but I cannot condone Derwent style of sales. I had to ease into the purchase of these prncils since they are so expensive but I cannot justify purchasing all 72 or 100 just because I need 3 or 4 that only exist your largest size purchase. How can I buy individual colours without paying for all the ones I do not need ?

Some pencils say Made in England. Others, Made in Britain. Could you please explain the discrepancy?

This item was received broken and I contacted the seller right away. After 3 attempts to ask the seller for replacement. They are not replacing it. I sent pictures twice at their request, which they say they cannot open. They want me to email them to an email outside the Walmart system or they refuse to deal with me. I am leaving negative feedback. The item took weeks to get here and appears to have been damaged before shipping because the box was damaged despite the bubble envelope it arrived in. I can't even post a photo with this review. I have pictures, but I still cannot attach them even on this review. Don't buy here. Go to Amazon it's cheaper quicker and Amazon will help out with returns.

Colors are weak and the red is not water soluble. I like the graphite pencil, it is water soluble.

I got a 24 colour set of Lightfasts. Cost over 100 dollars... wasted! No basic good strong red, green, or blue. Half the set is shades of brown! I'm checking with Derwent to see if it's a mistake...

These pencils, like Prismacolors, develop a wax haze or bloom after about a year. They went from being my favorite to my least favorite. Once a drawing is framed there is no way to wipe the film away. Dark colors become very dull from the haze.
