This is what we've been waiting on. The flavor is insane !! You get the mix of charcoal plus hickory. I've done butts and ribs and the difference is night and day. I've used Traeger, Bear Mountain, Kingsford and others. This is the pellet of choice !! Trust me. Get these pellets !! Clean burn, meat taste great ! And very little dust !!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These little pellets are fantastic for lazy smokers like me who love charcoal and wood smoke but not the work it takes to use a charcoal and chunked wood smoker. They feed into our pellet feeder smoothly and burn nice and slowly at smoking temp (250 and below). I haven't tried them for anything hotter, but they impart a nice smoky flavor with that hint of charcoal that you miss using plain wood pellets. I'll definitely buy these again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked these pellets I feel like they work better for what I cook, they don't really give an intense flavor. It it has the balance I liked they work great with my pellet grill I didn't have any problems at all. The smoke production was as I figured it would be. My food came out great I'm happy with these I would recommend these to family and friends if they have a pellet grill. I will buy more of these in the future
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do smell that slight sweet scent through the smoke but it is very faint. I'd say I would still purchase this so it is slightly different from normal plain charcoal. I also think these pellets burn slow so personal preference comes in as I can see it is not for everyone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these pellets! With the holiday approaching I filled the hopper of my Pit Boss portable pellet grill with some Royal Oak 100% Charcoal and Hickory Blended Pellets and started off with a batch of smoked garlic chicken wings. For this cook, I was going to be using the 0 - 400 method for chicken wings. Once the wings were prepped for the grill, I fired it up and added the wings. Halfway though I flipped them and since I wanted to make sure they were crispy, I let them go a little more than an hour. They came out great. Crispy on the outside while still juicy on the inside with a hint of hickory smoke flavor. Since they were only on the pellet grill for an hour I wasn't expecting much smokiness, but I was pleasantly surprised. Next was a rack of babyback ribs. I prepped the ribs and fired up the grill, again using the Royal Oak 100% Charcoal and Hickory Blended Pellets. This cook lasted a little longer at almost 3 hours, and the results were great. I was to get a little more smokiness on the ribs than I did on the wings because this cook was running a little lower and slower. Everyone who had them loved them. As for the pellets, I think they worked great. During the cook, they burned nicely and consistently through both cooks producing a nice, pleasant smoke which was imparted on the food. As for after the cook, it seems that when each cook was done, they did not produce as much ash as I have seen with some other brands of pellets. I will definitely be using these again and I highly recommend them!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband enjoyed using these for grilling with friends, the flavor was just enough to taste but not overwhelming. And he didn't have any issues with them burning out during cooking. The smoke wasn't overpowering like some other pellets we've used before and it smelled really good. He will definitely use them again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love using the smoker and I was excited to try these pellets. They have a nice Smokey flavor. You can see in the bag there are darker charcoal pieces throughout. Overall, great flavor for that charcoal taste.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This combination of charcoal and hickory blended pellets provided an even grill and a smokey, sweet hickory flavor to our meat. They burned hot, but consistent to ensure the flavor. They are premixed and ready to use on a pellet safe grill.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Royal Oak 100% Charcoal and Hickory Blended Pellets are awesome for anyone serious about grilling. The pre-mixed blend delivers a wonderful BBQ flavor with just the right balance of strong, sweet hickory and rich charcoal flavors. It's also super convenient that it is ready to use right out of the bag. Whether you're making ribs or grilling burgers, these pellets take it up a notch. Great for family BBQs or weekend cookouts!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used these pellets in my Traeger while smoking salmon, and they performed well. I didn't notice much of a difference in flavor compared to my usual pellets, but the cook still came out great. What I did like was how they burned — they seemed to burn a bit quicker and cleaner than normal. Solid pellets overall, just not a big flavor boost for me.
