These were recommended by a friend. The briquettes do not produce as much heat as the Kingsford I usually use, however they do not produce as much ash. The store pick-up location at the Ajax location is NOT clearly marked in the parking lot. I had to go into the store and wait 15 minutes for delivery.
[Employee of walmartcanada] Not very good Charcole
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Compared to other brands, I struggle to get this product going and warm enough to bbq on. I even use Firestarters which don't help the situation.
[Employee of walmartcanada] It's the worst charcoal ever I bought. It takes forever tell get going and at the end It's go's of so quickly. I do not recommend at all
This charcoal is cheaper for a reason. It falls apart when lit, does not last long and produces an enormous amount of ash. Not worth the price even when on liquidation. Too bad since the old royal oak briquettes were decent.
These are so poor quality, they don't even burn. Do not buy these. They turn into ashes if you try hard to burn them. They don't retain any heat and they do not turn red hot. Wasted money.
These used to be great, it appears they aren't packing the charcoal as tightly anymore and as such the burn quality is garbage. They dont get nearly as hot, burn as long, or as cleanly. Try a different brand this year!
I used this charcoal to grill some steaks and nothing cooked at all and i ended up cooking it in the oven. Do not buy this brand unless you want to waste your money and time.
Last year they were great. Now they look different - rough surface, irregular shape, looks like coal chunks with wood chips embedded in them. Burn cold and short. Crumble to dust after 15 minutes.
The worst oak ever used. Just waste my money.
