Such a great cooler! Holds so much and works well on road trips. With it being an upright cooler- it is much more road trips friendly then a bulky yeti. I kept my drinks in it for our adventure and they stayed cool and were easily accessible. I highly recommend!
So far, we love the look of the cooler. I did not receive the lube for it with my purchase, which is states needs to be applied prior to first use, so I'd love it if you guys could send it to me so I can finally start using it. We are a family of a 3 baseball players and it's going to be crucial we are able to use it soon!
This is our second cooler first one wore out due to overuse! Ha ha ha! We love using this cooler as a footstool or floaty or anything possible. It keeps drinks cold for as long as the most expensive coolers out there. I do advise buying the ice packs that fit alongside inside. We’ll buy again when this one wears out!
I was a little skeptical of this at first simply because my husband has always used the EXPENSIVE brand if you know what i'm saying. . . . BUT!! I LOVE MY RTIC! Its compact, fits in our stroller wagon, WITH the toddler, with no issues. Holds ice extremely well IF you follow the instructions and pre-chill the inside. With the inside pre-chilled for 24 hours prior to first use my ice (3lbs) lasted a little over 35 hours. Which is amazing considering my toddler had access to the cooler all day, meaning the lid was never fully closed. One of the BEST Mothers day gifts I've received!
So far so good. Ditched the old Y@ti soft cooler after the zipper broke like all of them do. Then my father-in-law's also did the same thing. So I bought two of these. Had one stuck zip a week ago and just sort of firmly pushed through it and it lined back up again no issues. Keeps the beers cold
Have only owned a month and used twice, but when pre-chilled, it holds ice and cold temp well for its size. Definitely needs a bigger front pocket for napkins or snacks, and it could use some loops or clips on the front or side webbing to help tie down on a boat or hitch basket, etc. Curious whether the bottom is rugged enough as it recommends to put a towel under it for hot surfaces? Will use it mostly for car/travel use, but bottom material could be more rugged. Have owned a Engel in the past, it held ice soo good, but it was a pain to load into the narrow top opening. The zipper failed after 3 years, and I wanted a bigger opening flip top. Have owned RTIC tote bags for years, have held up well, hoping this will too. Did enjoy the purchase special to get 2 free insulated drink containers at time of purchase.
The zipper failed within 3 months of purchase. RTIC rejected the warranty because the item was on sale. It’s completely useless now, total junk. Spend a little more money and get a Yeti. Don’t buy this cooler.
I gave this to my husband for Father’s Day and less than three weeks later the zipper is already messed up. Contacted Walmart and they said they’d reach out to Rtic but a week later I still have no response from Rtic.
Bigger size cooler got delivered, missing pieces, and zipper was difficult
Purchased cooler for trip to Baja, pretreated cooler with ice for two days and refrigerated beverages for several days. Upon pouring out remaining ice and water on trip day and noticed water penetration through liner into insulation, during trip I had to purchase ice every day due to melting. Had to put ice into ziplock bags to keep water from penetrating liner. Not what I expected after reading advertisement.
