I bought a few different sizes to help keep my daughters room clean. We went through cleaned and organized together then she labeled everything herself. Nice and light weight so she can carry them too.
These totes/storage bins are so incredibly handy and useful. What can all of we reviewers say to bring these back? Don't need “Brute” strength. These have been my storage organizing systems for decades. Truly...I just read the original label on one box that read 1995! The 10 gallon size are perfect for handling heavy loads and stacking. I've set up rolling racks with shelves perfectly spaced for 3 across and 4 rows. Help!! Whatever you want to call these 10 and 18 gallon beauties over the years: Shatter Resistant Roughneck Totes Storage Bins
Just recently had a fire and all my keepsakes and pictures were stored in these Roughneck containers and SURVIVED! I am forever thankful to Rubbermaid for this product and I suggest everyone store your keepsakes in these as you never know what can happen.
My area is having extreme flooding and during our efforts to salvage and dry out our home... I was more than happy to find 15 years of gathered moments saved by our Rubbermaid storage containers!!!! Thank you Rubbermaid
Everything I own home and shop is stored in about 200 of these and I got work on board with 100 more. RubberMaid we need these. Bring them back.
I have several of those. The oldest pair is teal green from the early 90's (back when teal was the color on everything) and the youngest pair is purple. I have used it to store things, laundry (performed its task far better than laundry baskets back then). The older ones r well used and it still continues to serve me well. Here are a couple pictures of them.
This is the first time I have ever reviewed something online but I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree with all of the other reviewers who are saddened by the discontinuation of Roughneck line of storage boxes. I have used them for all sorts of applications over the years. I particularly like their durability, flexibility (competitors' products are more brittle), stackability, and variety of colors. My wife and I always carry four or five of them when we go camping and have them color-coded for different types of equipment (blue box for dry foods, green box for cold weather clothing, red box for camera equipment, etc). They provide a great way to keep things handy and organized. On occasion, we have even used them as a makeshift table (see photo). Please consider bringing back this line.
Rubbermaid products are the best containers to use for storage. They are strong and sturdy and do not crack like the other brands sold at Walmart. I have purchases their products for years and I will continue to do so.
I have five Roughneck 18 Gal Totes. The totes are good quality and have lasted for many years but the three older ones have no lids because the lids dry out and become brittle and crack into pieces. It would be good if the lids were available for purchase separately..
I bought many rubbermaid storage boxes. This one soecifically is the best one I ever bought. The lids always fit snug. They never break or lose form. Even when stacked. I use these bins as my base because they are the most durable and have a flat lid. I bought different style bins from rubbermaid. Some lids actually broke, didn't fit, lost its form or seemed to be made of cheaper material. Consumers kcan tell when a product is made cheaper. It would be best not to change to cheaper material when making these bins. No rubbermaid box or lid should ever break!e
