Rubbermaid Kitchen Trash Can, 12.4 Gallon Stainless Steel Soft Close Step Garbage Bin with Locking Lid, Charcoal

I really like this trash can. It is easy to use. The can holds a bag securely, it is easy to take out a used bag and put in another. The frame that hides the bag from view stays up and out of the way while you place new bag on the four corners that hold the bag tightly. The corners securely hold the bag in place and you push frame down and you are done. No shifting of the bag, nothing leaks into the can. Fast and easy. No batteries needed.

I really like the way the trash bag hooks on the trash can! It takes a little effort because it fits snug. Sure beats having things fall in the can instead of the bag! I find the lid very handy especially when I'm cooking. Press the foot lever gently and it will open and close when the lever is released. Press the foot lever all the way down and the lid will stay open for you. Then push the lid down until it clicks and it will close gently. The trash can looks nice in my kitchen too!

I bought this for our kitchen because the stupid cats wouldn't stay out of our trash can with the flip lid. It works great to keep the critters out. I also love the hands free petal when my hands are dirty from cooking. I do have to keep the hinge part clean ( I have boys, so enough said) so the lid doesn't work well if it gets dirty.

The trash can is of good quality, feeling sturdy and having a nice opening lid with a silent close. However, I'm not happy with the Walmart packaging. The item isn't simply packed; it's shipped as it is, with only a shipping label pasted on the side of the trash bin. This is completely unprofessional.

This is a great trashcan to deter pets. The only reason for 4 stars is because I think it should come with a fitted pan to support the bag and catch any possible leaks.

Not great. It is quite lightweight, which makes it easy to accidentally shift around or knock over. You have to attach the lid to the lift mechanism but it came out of place frequently, even after following the directions and using the foot pedal to fully click it into place. I initially chose this one because it advertises a locking feature to either lock the lid open or to keep it shut. Locking it open worked fine, but locking the lid shut didn't work at all. With light pressure on the foot pedal, I could still open the lid several inches, which then disengaged the lift mechanism and let me take off the lid entirely. Not much point to a "lock" that a small toddler could defeat without much effort. Overall, it's more expensive and doesn't have any better features than the average cheap plastic foot pedal cans.

This is a bait and switch. The lid was advertised as having a charcoal grey stainless rim. It is not charcoal in the slightest, it is as silver as it gets. I was wanting the charcoal color. I'm surprised they haven't fixed this issue. Either sell the product advertised or change the photos. Thumbs Down.

Package was delivered in terrible condition. It had obviously been opened and taped shut again on one side. It's apparent the package had been thrown around and there was no packing material inside the box which caused the lid to be broken once it arrived. Not happy with shipping.

Trash can is very pretty and sleek looking. However it does not function at all how it is described. The lid will not shut. If it is more than halfway open. You have to manually push it closed with your hands. Additionally. The locking features does not work at all. The plastic food pedal has also popped off. Please do not purchase this with the intention to keep your pets out of trash. It is absolutely not safe

Bought 2 orders of 2 packs and only received one pack. Should have gotten a total of 4 trash cans but only got two. Had the worse experience ever trying to get Wal-Mart to refund my money because they said both packs of 2 were delivered. These people are scammers!!!!!! Wal-Mart needs to wake up and do better.
