Rubbermaid Mixermate Leak-Resistant Pitcher, Clear, 3.8 Liter (1 Gallon), Plastic

These were on quite a hefty sale when I got them, and boy am I delighted I found them when I did! These are pretty large pitchers, but they're great for serving water, iced tea, etc. I love the design. The mouth at the top is large enough to easily pour things in, and also to wash the jug without necessarily needing a bottle brush. The cap is very secure, and the design is such that the pouring spout doesn't leak or drip. This is quite a triumph! Lots of other pitchers leave a little drip every time you pour out of them, which eventually will gum up your refrigerator shelf. Annoying! Rubbermaid is just synonymous with quality, I think, and this product is right in line!

Get ready for one of the greatest deals on the market. Not only is the quality first class but the design can't be beat. This container is VERY large. I was a little taken back when I first opened the box because I hadn't read the description very well. But the family is using these for a variety of things. I originally bought these for tea and cold drinks. The lids are wonderful. They do not leak. They are easy to screw on. They are easy to clean. The handles are perfect for the size and weight when loaded with your favorite things. My daughter is using them for cat litter and oatmeal. Any dry goods like rice, pasta, etc are perfect and the pour spout is so well designed that we can put nuts and seeds as well. I highly recommend this pitcher and the fact that it comes in pairs is double your pleasure and money's worth! Shipping was fast and price is right.

Rubbermaid is a kitchen brand that can be trusted. I don't believe that this gallon size pitcher will not let you down. We use it to keep freshly steeped tea in the 'fridge ready for ice. The only reason that it did not receive 5 stars, is simply because it does stain, however, that does not affect it's performance.

I like this pitcher but just know if it tips on it's side it will eventually leak. it definitely is more seal proof than a typical pitcher. the lid has a lot of room for improvement. when i tighten the lid on all the way it is off center from the handle. this makes it very difficult to pour sometimes especially on my weak wrists when its completely full. i do like it better than a regular pitcher and have yet to find a better option so for now yes i would still reccomend just with these warnings

This pitcher is very nice, I used it for my colonoscopy prep. I shook it up countless times %26 no leaks. Everything was going well until I tried to get put it in the fridge, it wouldn’t fit. I guess I’ll have to move my fridge shelves if I decide to use it again. The quality is very good, the plastic is solid. The lid is easy to use, and it’s easy to pour.

I bought two of these Rubbermaid pitchers. One of the pitchers cracked along the bottom and leaked sweet tea on the counter and floor. The other one has not cracked but I am suspicious of using it with something that will cause a mess to clean up. I would suggest a different kind of pitcher, one that is reinforced on the bottom.

The only positive thing I can say about this jug is that it takes up about the same amount of space in your fridge as a gallon of milk, just taller. That said: if you enjoy pouring tea all over the table, this jug is the one for you! If you enjoy basting your socks in grape coolaid at 3 AM when you're tired and expecting the liquid to actually pour into the glass you are holding it over, well this is the jug for you!!! Heck, If you enjoy popping the top on your ice cold beverage of choice, carefully aiming it at a large mouth glass, and then watching the fluid sploosh and splatter literally everywhere EXCEPT inside your cup, well folks, this is DEFINITELY the jug for you!!!! I will not be returning them, however. I have them put up for a special occasion, perhaps when that one evil in-law needs an extra special present to take home with her. Or the neighbor across the street accidentally falls off a ladder and I can go show my sympathy by gifting him one of these filled to the brim with fresh squeezed blackberry juice. Yessir, there are for sure ways to put jugs like these to good use if you put your mind to it!

Calling this leak-resistant is a joke. I've had it nearly a year, and it's leaked constantly since the start. No matter how tightly I twist the lid, liquid always leaks out. I've made messes of the floor, the counter, the fridge because I forget I need to take it to the sink to pour it. I'm fed up and once it's empty this time, I'll be throwing it away. That being said, the body of the pitcher is solid. It's never sagged or buckled under the weight of the fluid held within it. The handle is sturdy, as well. If I could just get the liquid out without dribbling everywhere, it'd be grand.

The lid is TERRIBLE!!! When putting it on, the lid/pouring spout stops to the side, 11 o'clock, not the 12 o'clock position, no matter how many times I take it off and twist back on. The "spout" is flat and broad, no channel for the fluid to run thru... and its cover does not allow you to see the fluid coming out. The container is much taller than the one I was using, thus making it more difficult to get into the door shelf. I bought 2, so I'm hoping I can return the other one.

sturdy but top over screws. shaking and mixing a powder in liquid causes liquid to go everywhere. i use this for lemonade and have to shake over the sink because i learned it gets all over the floor. a pain in the butt because then i have to always wash hands and wipe down the container everytime i shake it. not Rubbermaid quality. guess they went downhill...
