Rubbermaid Premium Slow Close Step-On Wastebasket, Black, 13 Gallon

I don't know what all the negative comments were about but the one received was just fine and it had directions on how to put the lid on properly which I personally don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure it out. 13 gallon trash bag fit very easily on it. The only problem I had was the 10 stickers that were all over it. I think one sticker with Rubbermaid on it would do. It's well worth the money. Mine also opens wide to put the trash in.

The Step-On plate was disconnected I had to fix. And you have to step on it hard. But not bad for what I paid for it. I like the trash bag ring inside so the bag doesn't hang over on the outside. Giving it a cleaner look.

The lid doesn't stay fully open when you press the foot pedal, but it's mostly open (like 2/3 the way) so that's slightly a bother but otherwise it's perfectly wonderful for the price!!

Easy to use garbage can. I like the step, no touch feature, although the lid doesn't quite open high enough most times. I really love the bag clinchers (for lack of a better word). They pull up, you attach your bag (I use a 13 gallon hefty with zero issues, not sure why others are having problems) then push them down

This item came not packaged in a box. Not sure why they would send it like that. The stainless steel accents were missing. there was a Rod inside the bin that is to attach to the back of the Bin that could not be attached for some reason, presumably because it was missing some of the parts in transit. Walmart refunded me after my complaint and I discarded the bin. I think what would be great is if the bin came with instructions.

This trash can arrived in 2 pieces, in the back of a guy's SUV the first time. It's broke. But Walmart replaced it with no problems. The second arrived already put together in a huge box. My complaint is that it doesn't work. If you're gonna put it together, why not at least try to step on the petal to make sure it works before you box it? And on top of that, know what you're doing before you assemble something. If I take the lid off to fix it the right way I know it will break, so there goes the step petal trash can I ordered. It's a trash can with a lid I have to lift by hand, and it doesn't fully close because it was put together wrong. But so be it. I've gone through enough over this trash can already. With the rubbermaid name I expected something better. I gave it 2 stars only because walmart did at least try to fix the problem.

It was delivered without the lid ! I'm 65 high risk for Covid and didn't want to go in the store so I ordered on line. now I have to go in to return it. So disappointed that you would allow your employees to send it out like that.

Received this Rubbermaid today; been trying to figure out how to make it work! The 13 gal bags are all the same, from my experience; fairly tight across the top as I always struggle to get them on no matter the brand!! I picked this one cuz I thought yippee- a great idea!! Did the IDEA PERSON try out a bag on the bag holder? Bet not! My idea is to make the hook larger on each side to grasp on due to the tension given from the tight bags?? I am a very senior citizen with a very bad back

There are multiple problems with the product - Size and Quality. 1. Size : The opening is huge and its very difficult to install a 13Ga trash bag (bought in Costco). 2. Quality : The attachment part for ring on the opening broke with in 2 months. I assure it was handled very carefully but never expected that the quality is so low considering its Rubbermaid. Unfortunately, I just noticed that it was still in return period when it broke but I missed the opportunity as I was not aware of the dates.

I got this trash can because it was cheap and wanted one with a step to open the lid. In figuring out how to get the lid to open with the step, the piece of the bin holding the lid in place snapped off. Couldn't even last one full use. So now I just have a regular trash bin that does not open with the step. Basically no better than a standard bin, which is not what I paid for. Definitely a product to avoid. Can't even return it since it immediately broke...
