I like these bowls. They hold a lot of food and I haven't had any problems with them sealing correctly. I wish they had other colors to choose from. The bowls are reasonably priced and easy to clean. I keep a few different sizes on hand for people who want to take food home too.
Just the right size for leftovers or for warming a specific portion. Instead of the lids only being in the traditional red, Rubbermaid should offer different colors and let the color be the buyer's choice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got thes about a week ago and they did so well to send family home with leftovers on lasagna night. Everyone loved them and they close well and held perfect amount for everyone. Lids close tightly and no leaks.
This is the perfect size for party-sized meals like corn, string beans, and also great for storing grapes and other fruits. I really appreciate the more compact size, especially for my smaller fridge. I've been using various Rubbermaid products for about 20 years and have always been happy with them. The food stays fresher longer than with other brands. Just make sure to snap the lid on securely when closing. It's microwave and freezer safe, too. I'd definitely buy again!
These are a life saver. I have a cabinet full of these containers for left overs, food prepping, snacks! They come in handy to have many! Food stays fresh. They do well in the freezer and dish washer. Take them anywhere in a lunch bag. They're perfect!
I am absolutely loving the Rubbermaid Take Along Bowl and Food Containers! As a busy mom of two, I'm always on-the-go and need containers that can keep my kids' snacks and meals fresh and organized. These containers have exceeded my expectations in every way. **Pros:** * **Easy to Clean**: The bowls and containers are a breeze to wash and sanitize. The BPA-free material is also a big plus for my family. * **Stackable Design**: The containers stack neatly, making them easy to store in our lunchboxes, diaper bags, or pantry. * **Leak-Proof**: The lids are designed with a secure seal, ensuring that liquids and messy foods don't leak out. This has been a game-changer for our family's road trips and picnics. * **Variety of Sizes**: Rubbermaid offers multiple sizes to accommodate different types of food and snacks. We love having the small containers for dips and sauces, medium-sized ones for sandwiches and fruits, and the large containers for leftovers or bigger meals. * **Durable**: The containers are made with high-quality materials that seem durable enough to withstand daily use. **Cons:** * **Not Microwave-Safe**: Unfortunately, these containers are not microwave-safe, which can be inconvenient when reheating leftovers. However, this is a minor drawback considering the many other benefits they offer. I'm thrilled with the Rubbermaid Take Along Bowl and Food Containers. They've simplified our daily routine, kept our food fresh, and made mealtime a breeze. If you're in the market for a reliable and versatile set of containers, I highly recommend giving these a try!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rubbermaid brand has been used for many decades while we were growing up and it is a brand we continue to rely on in my household. We can never have enough! These 5 cup TakeAlongs foods storage containers are suitable for leftovers, bringing food to another location (picnic, work, a gathering) and taking meals to work. The lid snaps shut for freshness and to avoid leaks. The lids have ridges onto which the container bottoms stack well on top of them to save refrigerator and shelf space. They can be reused, dishwasher and microwave safe. These are great to have around to provide guests with leftovers after a party and not worry about getting the container back; they are sturdy so transporting them is not concerning. These are a staple for any household!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are simple clear bowl storage containers with lids but so, so very usable. Me and my wife use these a lot. Sometimes they end up in my lunchbox with whatever she decided to make that day. I have had soup, salad, a rice bowl. They get used at home a lot too, to save leftovers, or when I make a salsa we put it in there for easy storage. This came in a four pack, with lids. The size is 3.2 cup bowls. The size isn't too small it fits a decent amount. They are microwave, and freezer safe. My wife like the face that they have the measuring marks on them, which makes it convenient when having to mix something. These are also great if someone visiting ends up taking leftovers. My wife is always losing dishware, because it doesn't get returned, so we do want to get more of these in different sizes. I don't have a problem opening or closing these, but my wife sometimes does. They feel durable and have a pretty good seal when the lid is on. I think they are good for many uses and we have used them a lot, so we have been satisfied with them. They don't take up a lot of room either when we have to store them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They're pretty large and thin, light plastic. I like that they're microwaveable and freezer safe. It also says "top rack" but not sure why. You can stack one on top of the other and they have measuring marks. The lid clicks when you close it but it's not the easiest thing to close. Being thin plastic, you need to kind of make pressure in several areas at the same time. Probably not the easiest to close for seniors or people with limited hand mobility.
I bought myself a set of new Rubbermaid containers and threw out all of my old ugly ones. I like a lot of these, but upon first using the shallow bowl, I saw there was a hole melted in the bottom after I microwaved some meat and potatoes just to warm temp. No oil, sugar, high fats in the food, as I read from a customer service comment. I checked the microwave and couldn't see any metal pieces anywhere. Just wondering if the product is defective. And, now I'm wondering if it will happen again on the others. I haven't used microwave on any of the others yet.
