I was having trouble finding a way to hang things in my small laundry room. To put a pole up under a shelve would not have worked. But then I saw these tie and belt organizers. I put them up and thats where I hang things - sideways. It would have been better if there were no seperations between the tie/belt parts but who cares? It works for me!
The tie/scarf/belt rack has freed up a whole drawer in my bureau! And, the scarves do not get crushed and wrinkled when they hang on the rack. I'm very pleased with this easy-to-install accessory.
I bought these w/ the intentions of hanging my button bags on them so they can hang over my sewing machine! I have so many buttons all separated into small clear bags that I punched holes in the corners. I converted these tie/belt racks for my sewing area! They slide out like a trombone so they are very handy for this purpose! You could also use them for small screws etc as well. But they have to be converted it you attach them to a solid board, they are really meant for wire shelving! Thanks hope this helps give you an idea!
Easy to assemble (slide two parts together and insert a screw) and install into closet. Great to hang stuff so you can easily see it and get to it. I use mine to hang and organize my tanks by color. Makes it super quick to find the one I'm looking for.
This addition to the Rubbermaid Configurations Closet is really great - I'd recommend it to everyone! It slides out and in - so all the belts and ties are accessible but also out of the way if you don't need them. It takes up very little space and is very easy to put together and set up. Using the Rubbermaid Configurations to redo our closet was one of our best remodeling decisions, and this belt organizer just adds to how great it is. We are not big do-it-yourselfers (we are wanna-bes) and this was our first project - it came out great! I seriously bring friends into our room so that I can show them how great our closet looks.
The product is exactly what I needed for my closet. Amazon prices were HIGH and availability from Home Depot was limited. Walmart had what I needed in stock, and for a great price.
I've been looking for an overhead-mounted, slide-out broom rack for years. Everything out there is side-mounted, so I made my own. I stumbled across this tie rack and it hit me - this can work! And it does! I have done a little "engineering" on it - but because of its sturdy frame and simple mechanism, I now have a real space saver in the utility room.
I like it. It holds 30 items. Slides out and works well. Its not a universal fit for all wired shelving units. The bottom of my shelf has a support wire just thick enough to prevent the front hooks to attach. I had the choice of bending the product (rendering slide useless) or using tie wraps (strong enough too) to extend the front hooks the 3/8" needed to connect the hooks to the rack. so it works.
I don't have the Rubbermaid Closet shelving. It is just the standard white wire shelving, and it still serves its purpose. It is not level, so it sort of points downwards but there is enough resistance in the pull-out rod to keep it recessed even when it's holding belts. However, to work the way it appears in the picture, you will need the Rubbermaid shelving.
Good product. Make sure u have the identical shelf in the picture otherwise it will be at a downward angle.
