Runleader Digital Hour Meter Tachometer Maintenance Reminder Automatically Shutdown Snowmobile

I bought two meters, one for my pressure washer and one for my lawn mower, While the tachometer function seems to work well, I haven't yet used it for an idle adjustment or to monitor blade speed. I did want to keep track of hours on the engine, since I change oil regularly but don't want to waste money changing too often (I use full synthetic). Installation consists of finding a mounting place, sticking / bolting / zip tying the meter to that location, then running a sensor wire to the spark plug wire. Make four wraps of the sensor wire around the spark plug wire, secure both ends tightly with zip ties, then cut off the excess. Then press the switches in order to set the engine type (in my case "one cylinder, 4 cycle") and you are done. Start the engine, read the RPM directly off the meter. After six minutes, the meter will advance from 0.0 hours to 0.1 hours, so you know all is working well.

My 2015 mower was acting fuel deprived. Last year the carb bowl looked clean. I suspected teduced RPMs. I changed the air filter. Ordered this. Found specs recommended 2,900 /- 100. Set tach to engine type and read 2,600. Easily adjusted up to 2,900. Neen running better now.

for the price I was very impressed with the quality and it worked well I put it on my gas bike and leave it on there is not waterproof that's the only downfall but I can see It does have internal batteries you can't replace

Works great shows Roma and hours and has a service sujester would recommend this to a moped owner or a lawn mower owner because it helps you know how your engine is performing it also has a LED light so you can see at night.

Put this on my Troy-Bilt riding mower after I rebuilt the deck, I wanted real hours instead of guessing at oil changes. Install is just wrapping the sensor wire around the plug wire a few times and finding a spot to mount it, took me about ten minutes. Set it to 1 cylinder 4 cycle and started it at zero. RPM reads around 1650 at idle and 3250 wide open which is right where that engine should be, so the tach side is accurate to. The maintenance reminder counts down and flashes when your due, thats the part I really wanted it for. For eleven bucks I dont know what else you would want.

The only thing is screen doesn't light up

Keep this in my toolbox.the battery is easily removed so i can store it without the battery going dead so it's ready when i need it.

works as advertised. seems well built and looks to be water proof. it accurately keep track of the engine run time. not sure how accurate the tachometer is, but it does show the RPM while the engine is running. ive only used it for 6 hours. no problems so far
