Rust-Oleum Automotive Rusty Metal Primer Spray, Light Gray, 12oz

I used this product to prime the surface of a 2004 Toyota Tacoma truck bumper that was heavily pitting in spots from rust. However I had second thoughts about using this product alone, after reading that rustoleum rust reformer might be better so I used both products and put the rust reformer mostly over the heavy pitting. Used the rusty metal primer on the front surfaces, was able to use just one can for that. Applied evenly with no problems.

It sprayed on great with no problems, just wish I got black if they have that option. Doing all 4 wheels. Now just waiting to see how well the products do.

covers in one coat, even really rusty things

I have used it before on some brass/bronze sconces. Primed then painted with a hammered dark bronze paint. Seems to be a good primer for bare metal, and this was a good price. Would recommend 👍

It was a very good product. Easy to use and dries hard. Has a great grab on rust.

It covered very nicely. I actually used it on some old wrought iron chairs that had some serious rust.

I used this on top of metal trim that surrounds my car window. It was a primer/base for a liquid plastic spray. It dried pretty smoothly, however, it didn't adhere very well on a space that was 1mm thick. It would have helped if there was a straw or a way to concentrate the spray to narrower areas. Overall, I am happy with the results. It helped to even the surface that I was spraying onto. I used about 4 coats, drying at least 30 min. in between.

Just received delivery… Defective with overspray all around nozzle and top of can! Obviously used! Nozzle has dry paint and is clogged. Cans should be checked before shipped or delivered.
