Rustoleum S40 water based epoxy coating
I use the S40 as a topcoat over Rustoleum basement epoxy floor coating - this is not a process that is recommended by Rustoleum. The Rustoleum floor paint is from the residential side and the S40 is from the industrial side. I apply the S40 within the 4 or 5 day recoating period of the substrate. No VOCs makes this a nice product to apply where there is minimal air exchange such as a basement. Product has a milky color when applied but dries clear. Results have been good. I like the satin finish look. Topcoating the basement epoxy floor paint sandwiches the decorative chips between the color coat and the clear. I give this product 4 out of 5 stars (meaning that I really do like it - I save the 5 out of 5 for things that are flat out superlative).
