Got this item for my son as part of review and it definitely gets a thumbs up!! We were wondering how squishy it really was when it was in it's egg and upon opening it first noticed it "smelled like slime" as my son puts it. When feeling it, it was definitely squishy and soft and squeezable. My son immediately got a smile on his face squeezing it in his hand. I would definitely not recommend it for any kiddo's who put things in their mouths still though it does say 3yrs old and above. Watch out for it around pets too. My son says it feels like a "stress reliever" since he has anxiety and ADHD. Overall this is a plus gift and it was super cute being in a lil knights costume!
Both of my kids, age 5 and 3 love it. First of all, there is just something satisfying about a squishy toy. They love the feel of squishing it in their hands. I also love the imaginative play that the character encourages. We were lucky enough to get the knight, whose rubbery texture makes it fun when he falls off cliffs and gets sat on by dragons. They especially love making certain body parts bulge out. That bulging eye gets a giggle every time! I don't know how durable it is, I'm sure it will eventually pop, and certainly gets dirty quick. Otherwise a great toy.
I dont know why but my kids love these things. Fortunately the squishy was actually rubber and more durable than the foam squishies the dog likes to chew up. Also it was one rubber/silicone figurine, not a bunch of little plastic pieces that normally end up in the vacuum! These are good little prizes for kids 6 and under.
Where my son loves Ryan and These squishy things are fun I've bought a total of 10 different Characters and Options and after a couple squeezes and not huge ones either Pop and into my poor little boy and or his sisters face and a couple of times in his eyes! Grateful that it's not permanently blinding he couldn't see for approximately two days and his eyes were RED redder than red.
My 8 year old son has been watching Ryan's toy reviews for years and was super excited to receive this squishy! The unopened size of the "egglike" container is 3.25 Inches x 1.75 Inches x 1.8 Inches which is perfect for a giftbag or stocking stuffer! Our container was blue and there was an appropriate toy for a boy inside, not sure if the color of the outer container indicates that though. My son decided to do an "unboxing" video for the family about this toy and his enthusiasm was infectious! He was thrilled to find the ninja character inside! The body is a little bit squishy, but the head is really squishy and is filled with a liquid-type substance. He played with it all afternoon and we did not experience any of the color coming off. He thinks the robot one would also be cool and is asking for me to buy him another mystery squishy! Highly recommend!
Was bigger than I thought it was going to be. My nephew had a fit over it. Kept his hands busy for a long time. You can twist and squeeze as much as you want and goes back to original shape. Fun mystery egg. Would be great for party favors, stockings or Easter baskets. Is a fun little toy.
I received one of the mystery squishies from the Spark Reviewer Program. It comes in a plastic egg kind of packaging, and you don't know what one you've got until you open it, which is always a fun surprise! My son got the robot and he really likes it. As far as squishies go, this one isn't solid all the way through. It is squishy and rubbery, but it's filled with liquid.
It wasn't as squishable or full as I was hoping. The other brands heads would blow up when squeezed, making the face look funny. The liquid inside might have evaporated. Also, the lettering on his shirt wore off after one day, which seems to be the norm for these squishables of all brands. This character was cute, and my son is more than happy to add Gus to his collection.
I received this item as part of the spark review program. My kids were excited to open the capsule to see what mystery squishy we received. Unfortunately, this "Ryan's World Mystery Squishy" smelled awful as soon as I opened the package. The smell was so bad that it was immediately thrown away.
I am writing this review on Ryan's World Mystery Squishy. I am basing my review off my 8 year old son who opened it and played with it. My son was excited to open his surprise Ryan toy as Ryan is his favorite person currently. He opened the egg-like shaped plastic casing immediately and was happy with the toy that was inside. He took it with him everywhere he went, including, but not limited to, the car, the park, his bedroom and in the kitchen. He was a bit rough with it, but I could tell that it was soft enough that it would not do harm to the toy if it fell to the floor or was thrown across the room. The squishiness of the Ryan's World toy held up well with all the rough housing my son had done with it. I squeezed it multiple times and stretched it, and none of those times did I feel as if it would fall apart. Based on this criteria, I feel like it was a fun little toy for my son, even just temporarily. There are some downsides to the Ryan's World Mystery Squishy. From the moment the squishy was opened, I had taken a good look at it and I did not feel as if it was painted well. There were quite a few paint clumps on the toy as well as some areas not even painted the correct color. The paint quality was not good prior to even playing with the squishy, and became worse as my son was playing with it. The paint rubs off rather easily and after time, just becomes a toy he doesn't want to play with because it doesn't look “right” anymore. With putting everything into consideration when it comes to the Ryan's World Mystery Squishy, I do not recommend this product. I feel as if there are better alternatives when it comes to mystery toys that will not fall apart, which includes the paint aspect, when playing with it, even for just one day.
