I really enjoyed at how fast and easy it was to set up and get running using my phone. I downloaded the app and quickly was able to connect to the drone. I was really impressed with how easy it was to control. I have played with other drones in the past that had a similar interface the response time was terrible, causing them to crash. The drone itself has a longer fly time than others I have used. it really helps to have a battery life display. This drone is quick and agile with a hovering feature that is helpful (helps with the crashing). I was able to do the tricks listed with much success. I think for the price you are getting a fun toy that is pretty hearty and robust with features. I highly recommend this item.

Compared to other drones at this price, this drone is very easy to use, requires little to no assembly out of the box, has a good quality camera, and offers very stable flight. After trying out my friend's Ryze Tello Drone, I decided to grab one for myself. It's super easy to use and doesn't require any assembly which is great. The app works well and made it super easy to operate. So easy that I took it out this past weekend with my son who is only 5 years old and he was able to fly it. Great drone for the price. This is the first drone I have owned, and I am very happy with it! First and foremost, it comes out of the box fully assembled, so all you have to do is simply charge the battery and you are ready to fly. From there, the drone is pretty easy to use, even for for first time flyers. My roomates and I fly it around our apartment with little issue, and have been able to keep it under control outdoors. The different take off/ landing features work well and are easy to do, and the tricks are a fun time. Only complaint would be that the video streaming is a bit choppy, but the drone takes clear videos and pictures once saved. Great item for the price! So, I went into this with pretty low expectations. I have flown a lot of drones and at this price point AND without a controller, I didn't expect it to be anything special. I was wrong, this drone is actually pretty awesome. First, the build in flight modes, work. Auto take off, auto land, tricks etc. work extremely well. It takes off and hovers in place and is so stable it give you the ability to get a feel for the drone. really amazing out of the box. Second, the control is very good. I generally prefer having buttons ( so i don't have to look at the touch screen). the app was done extremely well, I don't find myself hunting for buttons or frustrated about trying to get the drone to do what i want. Third, Its easy. bump into a wall, it auto corrects. fly too fast towards an object, let off the controls and it will start to hover. Just kind of does what you want, so it helps you, without so much it feels like its over correcting you. lastly, video and pictures are good enough. This isn't a 4K camera, so don't expect it to be. but the camera is good enough to have fun with it, take pictures and videos and be able to see them. Also, with the easy controls, i can use the live video stream on my phone to fly it, pretty cool. overall, really happy, would highly recommend. The Tello Drone is super awesome. Some drones require assembly which can be a hassle, but this drone comes already assembled! All you have to do is take it out of the box and you can fly it within a few seconds. I love using the app to navigate and the video quality is excellent. Took a few tries for me to get a handle on flying it. The model is also very slick and the material is durable. The run time is pretty long and I can't wait to fly it out when it's nicer out. Nothing inherently wrong with this drone. My kid bought it for a robotics project, but didn't buy appropriately compatible companion tech, so we aren't able to use it as we'd intended. That's no fault of the drone.

I think this drone, at its price point, is a great bang for your buck. There are other drones out there at similar price points that are either 1. huge and bulky or 2. hard to control when flying. This one is small, sleek, and lightweight. It connected to my iPhone and I could control its flight from my phone. I also like that it can take pretty good quality photos. The only drawback is that it has a pretty short flight time--around 15min. I would take this out on my apartment rooftop for some cool aerial shots, but I wouldn't take it out when hiking or anything where I would want something with a super long battery life.
