Glad I found this product as I found it a pain to keep using a kitchen pot to clean my cup. It's also a bonus after using in the microwave for 3 mins, you can clean your microwave with all the steam.
Really handy! The fact it's collapsible is great for travel, but also just for storage at home. It fits the shape of the disc well. I have another that's taller and more narrow, and discs sit halfway up, so you have to fill it way up to even cover the it and the disc always flips upside down. The Saalt one just works easily and perfectly- a theme with their products in my experience. Doesn't hurt that it's a pretty colour either!
love that there's an easy way to sanitize on the go and in small spaces (like dorm rooms)
It's easy to use for sanitizing my cup
Very convenient accessory. Makes cleaning the discs/cups so easy.
easy to use, and requires a lot less water than when i used a small pot to sanitize which was a big reason why i got it
Very convenient and great design but would definitely recommend checking the size of your cup first cause mine is just floating at the top with little room to go down. But to be fair I got my cup yearssss ago so maybe it's different than what this is meant to handle.
This is my third cycle using a saalt disc and the compact sanitizer. I can't say I'm impressed with the sanitizer. Sure, it's nice to not have to boil water in a pot on the stove (it definitely won't be accidentally used to cook food in!), but it's a hassle all the same. The disc floats and is on the larger side, so it's difficult to keep the disc submerged while not overfilling the sanitizer and spilling water everywhere, especially when picking it up. (My bathroom is not near my kitchen, and I'm definitely not going to dump my period disc water in the kitchen sink!) The water can boil over too if you're not really careful. I place the sanitizer inside the lid to attempt to catch any water that might spill out. I should have just bought the steamer though.
Marked low because I don't understand why they didn't design it to double up as a travelling rinsing pot, it seems like such a missed opportunity! I have to admit, that's what I assumed this was for so it's my fault I misunderstood, but without that function it's just a pot with a lid. Having it collapsible saves space but if they'd made it with a hard rim and a screw top - thereby ensuring it was water tight, you could use it to rinse your cup/disk whilst you're out. I tried it to see if this was possible but the flexible design makes safely removing the lid whilst full with water pretty challenging/risky and water seeps out under the lid. It's unfair, I know, to mark something low when that's not the intended function, but considering its limited use its unnecessary and overpriced when, at the end of the day, any old sanitised microwave safe bowl will do the same job and it won't cost £11.
Ordered over 3 weeks ago. Never got a shipping update. Emailed customer service, got sent a DHL link that didn't work. Have followed up twice with no response. Not impressed! Still not delivered and have no update.
