All you have to do is pull the pin out of the bottom to sound the alarm. Then, put it back in to silence it. I tested it out inside my house, and it is ear-piercingly loud.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This alarm is loud!! I like that there are different options of activating the alarm. I threw it on my keychain and was worried that I would end up accidentally pulling it out activating the alarm but that hasn't happened yet.

Also, it is quite loud so that's good. But the device is pretty big…I would say it could be smaller. Also needs to come in better colors and have a clip. Only has a ring. Hopefully I'll never have to use it but I believe it would be very helpful with the loud alarm sound. It's easy to use and instructions are easy to read. Every woman needs this or some pepper spray.

Really have to find a "how to" video on this because the circles look like buttons. This one is just an alarm and I was shocked as to how it's used! But it works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looking at it right off the back it fits perfectly in my hand. It's not overly big to be a distraction on your keys. It definitely makes a loud enough sound to get someone's attention. Looking at it, it looks like it is a push button but you have to pull the chain out. This reason I gave it 3 stars. If your keys get caught against something you could easily pull the chain from it. Definitely would make a good pocket piece than being on a key ring. Also it would be better if there was a flashing light on it to get the attention of bystanders to help and know who needs the help. Overall it's a very good compact product.
