SABRE Wireless Elite Home and Commercial Door Security Alarm

I have never actually left a review before on anything but I'm so frustrated with this product I have to. I have an Non-Verbal Autistic child so my doors all have very simple panic alarms. I replaced my front door so I figured I would replace the alarm I had with a new one. I was unable to find the Philips keypad alarm I had for years so this looked similar and I bought it. Once this alarm sounds - it doesn't seem to want to be turned off for some reason (problem 1). You have to enter your code multiple times to accomplish this... perhaps this unit is just defective. Re-reading the instructions many times to see what I may have been doing wrong proved futile. I couldn't even figure out how to set the alarm and then close the door - which is common when leaving the house. Perhaps I'm not doing something right - but all I want to do is set the alarm, have it sound when the door is open -or- set the alarm and close the door. I just wasted an hour and it's a mystery. Perhaps this item is just not suited for the simple function I want. I re-installed my 10 year old alarm, but I did repurpose the magnet from this unit - so since the magnet works I'll give it one star.

Not easy to mount on metal door. Had to use double sided tape. Other than that, it's a great product for the price

I ordered 6 of these alarms, advertised as having a "home" mode. I received 1 with home mode, and the other 5 were an older model without home mode. The newer model has different and distinct packaging from older model package. Why would they send 1 that is as advertised but 5 that are not? I have studied this and particularly need the "home" mode that the newer model has and as is advertised on these alarms I purchased. Tried calling the phone number for Avenue A, it doesn't work. I sent a message, we will see if they respond.

I don't care for this door alarm. I thought it might be simple like the alarms I have. On or Off or Chime, but no. I have to enter codes after code and while doing so, the alarm is so loud to be right in front of me.

Showed up quickly. Panic is very loud!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sabre is a great brand and this alarm works good . I love it I haven't put it up yet but I am . It's good durability and lasting and I'm very excited my mom has one and it works good she has an app on her phone to with it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for my grandma's house last month. I forgot to take a picture of it installed. She loves it. She said she feels safer with it. It's loud and easy for her to operate. She's older so she can only handle easy things to work which this is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was very easy to install , it comes with an adhesive mount that comes with a few screws which makes the installation easy. It has a home and away mode and I really love the idea of it being wireless. This is pretty basic but it will do the job.
