Sabrent 7 Slot USB 2.0 Internal Memory Card Reader & Writer (CRW-UINB)

I bought this because it was a great deal. It was just good luck that the power light happens to be blue which matches the power light on the PC I installed it in. Looks very nice and the read light is white. Blue and white lights look nicer than any of my older ones with the standard red and green lamps. Works perfectly and looks great. Also contains a TF (micro SD) slot saving having to use an adapter. Shows up as four separate drives in explorer. But SD and Micro SD share a drive letter (unlike my USB 3.0 card reader that looks the same) so it's not possible to copy directly between them. Not a big deal in my book, especially for the price.

I ordered this to replace an old card reader that didn't support SDHC - this reader does - works perfectly - no cons - instal it and the computer says its ready to use when you turn it back on - done -

Installed quickly and easily, in spite of no instructions included with unit. Works great at a great price. Being in the computer means no extra box to take up more desk space.

The installation was good, plug and play. I tried a known bad micro SD card, and the access light flashed a few times then went out. The USB port is upside down. Overall it does the job.

Easy to connect to one usb connection on the motherboard. It has two lights a blue one which stays on all the time and a white one that lets you know it's working. These lights are very bright. THIS IS A SMALL SIZE NOT A REGULAR SIZE .

I have used the sd slot and have no problems with it. Installed right into the 2.5" bay and plugged into the usb 2.0 port on my asus motherboard. The blue light that tells you it has power stays on ALL the time that the computer has power, even if the system is shut down. That is the only thing I noticed while I have had this for about a week. Easy install for a novice as long as you know where things should go on the motherboard and there is room for it(check mobo's manual if unsure).

Has just about every type of slot you would need for media card tranferring. It's great if you have an opening for a 3 1/2 slot on your PC case, otherwise you will have to purchase a 5 1/4 bracket like I had to. But no biggie, just picked one up at a computer store for 5 dollars and installed it quick and easy. If you enjoy taking pictures like I do and want to tranfer them quickly to your PC, this product will do the job.

Card reader works, but will only read 1 card at a time. I take video and pictures and need to edit them within a few minutes so waiting for 1 card to finish importing before I can start another one does not work. I returned it to hopefully find one that can read 2 different cards at once.

Stopped reading my card after a couple of days. When I put a card in, it keeps kicking on and off. If it did read my card long enough for me to try and bring up a picture, then it kicks off. Would not recommend this to anyone.

The description led me to believe it could be used for SIM cards from my mobile phone. Not true! Even worse, you have to DISASSEMBLE your computer to install it. There is nothing USB connecting about this device in the usually accepted sense. Look at the picture very carefully. It's some kind of 8 pin connector. In addition, it is much smaller than the pictures would suggest. I returned it to my closest Walmart without difficulty but, of course, I was out the postage.
