This adapter cable works well for connecting my old handheld GPS receiver to my Windows 10 PC. This is a cost effective workaround for the issue that PC's no longer come with RS232 ports. This cable, having a male RS232 connector with fixed screw posts, fits that model. Some people have an application where they want male connector with screws or a female connector. Watch out for that. Also, it didn't work immediately after the driver initialized, but did work after a reboot, although there was no indication that a reboot was needed.

Cord does not have a good connection and does not work with Windows 11.

I honestly don't know if it would have worked because I couldn't install it. I didn't look closely enough at the photo to see that it had nuts where I didn't expect them. I tried to remove them, but was unsuccessful. I really don't understand why it would have nuts on the male end since plugging this into any device would have required bolts/screws to have protruded from the device, in this case a monitor. How exactly would that have worked. At any rate, I picked up what I needed from Cable Wholesale. It works perfectly.
