Love Sadaf products! Taboule is easy to prepare and very nutritious. Combined with grape tomatoes, cucumber, olive oil and feta cheese. it makes a delicious cold, summer dish and it is healthy too. Add a little rotisserie chicken to it and you have a complete meal.
I bought two of these for my 15-year-old daughter because she loves this and her grandma always made it for her as special treat. now she wants to make it herself
Love love love tanouli. Usually buy near East. Getting very hard to find in stores or online. This product is just as delicious
I love this stuff. It makes a lot, the cost is low. I use it for to enhance all sorts of recipes and dishes. And the best thing is it's really good for you. Walmart ships it to my home for free, so it's a no-brainer to buy WalMart here.
Excellent product. Glad to find it thru Walmart!
The seasoning is not to our liking as well as Near East, but still a good product and lots of it in a box. Be sure to add your favorite veggies. We add tomato, onion, cucumber and mild peppers.
The mint added was a great addition and reduced time prepping the salad. The directions for mixing Sadaf Tabouli was not to “my liking” to much lemon juice. I would reduce lemon and added by tablespoon to your desired taste. The mint is not overpowering. Their is a bit of heat that develops at back of bite. Maybe if lemon was not overpowering, would increase rating.
It's okay, but not as good as Tabouleh, which has more flavor to it. Problem is, you haven't had it in stock for months...question is...WHY?? Plus you don't let people know when you have items back in stock, so what is the purpose of a review?
Normally, tabouli is a flavorful aromatic dish, but this mix (unlike some other brands) turned out to be so spicy hot, as if it had cayenne and way too much black pepper in it. I couldn't even eat it, much less serve it (so I'm glad I wasn't planning on serving it, taste untested [now I know]). Aside from wasting time fixing this item and not being able to eat it, I'm worried because I bought another Sadaf brand item for falafel box mix, and what if the falafel is blow-the-roof-off-your-mouth spicy hot too?! Walmart should carry the Near East brand, which is what normal tabouli tastes like (Walmart carries rice, quinoa and couscous from Near East, but not the tabouli or some of its other products, unfortunately), so now I have to go buy this specific product elsewhere).
I'm huge fan of tabouli, however this brand I'm not fan of due to it's what i feel is overwhelming salt spices. I normally add fresh green onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and cilantro which I felt were wasted bc after refrigerating overnight and looking forward to the amazing taste that always resulted from simple fresh ingredients but instead I got a harsh bitter salty taste . I have tried several brands most are traditional in taste and a crowd favorite even my husband wants to sample before refrigerating which really melds flavors but he said if this were his first time trying he'd been turned off for life sadly I agree. The brand I prefer comes in clear bag and can be found in most Krogers or king Soopers produce section sometimes you might need to ask to order but WELL WORTH IT. I did see my normal favorite brand on Walmart shipping but you had to order like $20 worth which made me try this brand. I wish i could remember name but since moving from Texas to Colorado I'm having hard time finding. With grocery prices on the rise I wasted $15-20 by gambling on brands on top of disgruntled family members whose taste buds were let down in major way. Live and learn. I only wrote this review bc seeing my 7 year old with her blue bag of Doritos looking sad after tasting saying I am not sticking my Doritos in that gross stuff mom nothing worse than Dorito disappointed lol
