Safari Track Set with Motion Control

My four-year-old loves this set. This train track is great on its own without having another track set because of how big it is. My son has had a lot of fun with it. Overall, it is easy to put together. It came with illustrated instructions to put it together. My son can connect the tracks by himself, but he struggles with getting all the track pieces fully connected. The train is motorized. It takes AAA batteries, but it is not included. The battery that I put in it lasted a while. I like that the train turns on when you touch the roof. It also has an on and off switch to prevent the from turning on when the roof is touched. My favorite thing about the train is that it turns off after three minutes. This annoys my son, but he is always turning the train on and leaving it, so I like that it turns off by itself. There is a train cart that hooks up to the main train. My son loves carrying the animals in the cart. The railroad crossing is motorized. My son loves opening and closing the gate for the train. I have noticed the gate bends easily. There are times that my son doesn't open it fast enough, so the train ends up pushing on the gate causing it to bend. It does bend back though. The trees and the zipline are such a cute addition to this set. One of the tree's tops was broken out of the box. Another tree top broke after my son played with it a few times. The zipline still works great though.

This Chuggington Safari Track Set is perfect for your little train enthusiast between the ages of 3-7. The tracks are easy to put together and are completely compatible with any other wooden "Thomas" train tracks you may already own which makes for super-sized fun! The ease of turning on and off the engine is a great plus: you literally just have to lightly touch it- not always easy for little fingers but they get the hang of it pretty quickly. My favorite part is the gate that 'swings' open as the train passes through.

Our son loves this train. He lkes to play with the set because it has a lot of elements. Here are animals, a long track, and a fun train. It is great because you can add other trains to it. It would make a good gift for a boy or a girl. I would recommend this for a child that likes playing with toys that move. It keeps my child occupied.

The Chuggington Safari Track Set is super cute and fun. I did have a few hiccups getting it put together but once everything is figured out it is good to go. First the stickers seem to be the opposite of what they should be labelled so I recommend getting the track put together and then adding the stickers to what seems natural. What I mean is to me the elephant is facing the wrong way if you place it the way they have it in the picture but if you just put #2 where #3 is and vice versa then they will face the right direction. This also applies to the stripes for the gate as one curve at the end is longer than the other. If I had done it intuitively it would be fine but I followed the directions so the end isn't on there quite right. It looks fine and doesn't interfere with anything so I will be the only person to even notice it since I put them on there. My grandson certainly doesn't care. He has fun with this toy. The next problem I had is one of the tree tops was broken when I opened the box. This isn't too big of a deal either as I can either glue it back together or I will more likely let my grandson use it as a bush (see picture for it being placed as a bush). So again, this isn't a deal breaker for me. It would be nice if the instructions included operating the toy. I assumed the train would make the gate open but this wasn't working until I saw on the box that you touch the elephant sticker to lift and lower it. I also was unsure why there was a wobbly platform at the top but once I got it together and played with it I figured out that it can transport animals from the top/bottom with a few shimmy moves. This does require 4 AAA batteries that are not included. You can get away with only using 2 for the train if you just leave the gate in the up position though. I do like that they include a plastic piece to keep the screws attached so when you remove the covers they don't fall away and have a chance of getting lost. The track pieces are easy to connect and disconnect. I like that this comes with a few animals. I plan to buy more animals to make it a full park, and maybe some more decorative pieces too. The monkey is very cute sliding along his vine. Another plus is that this also comes with a connector piece so wooden tracks can be connected to the plastic ones. This is my first train set for my grandson so we haven't needed this yet, but it is nice to have when we decide to expand. The train is also touch and go and I like that it automatically turns off after 3 minutes of not being used. My 3 year old grandson can't be bothered with on/off buttons when he has more playing to do. I just make sure they are off before putting it away. So overall this is a fun set to play with and I will be looking into expanding it.

If your kids like toy cars but is younger this is the train set for you! It's so much fun for the toddlers and easy to put together. The trains move on the track smoothly and the kids have so much fun playing with it. Very good quality as well and will last a long time.

Our toddler loves this set! It can be a little complicated to fix the set just how the photo shows, but that's how every train track can be. The little animals are well made and adorable. The train engine and trailer are well constructed and have a touch pad to go/stop. As with most parents, we SO appreciate the makers creating all moving/noise making devices with a kill switch. This one is located in the bottom. It's so nice! Very happy with this set.

This is such a cute train set for your little ones. My daughter absolutely loves it. I like the safari jungle theme since it comes with little animals as well as the train. It does take a good while to assemble because there are so many different pieces.

My kids love the Chuggington Safari Track Set. It was easy to set up taking about 15 minutes while reading the instructions. It can be taken apart easily and set up even faster now that I know how to set it up. I set it up on our train table and it fits great. The pieces are made sturdy so no worries about setting up and taking it apart after playing with it if needed. I love how easy it is for little kids to turn on and off the train and open the train guard rail. Once the train and the guard rail are switched on all a child needs to do is touch the top of the train to turn it on or stop the train and touch the yellow elephant sign to allow the guard rail to go up or down. This set includes a train and train car, a lion with cave, an elephant and a monkey that slides down a vine. This is a great set that any child would love.

This Chuggington set is really cute. The colors are bold and fun, the little animals are adorable. The tracks pop together and hold together well. However, the loading deck platform doesn't seem to hold together well, unless we are putting it together wrong. Also, one of the trees showed up broken. I do wish the train could roll along without the use of batteries, but the wheels don't rotate well. All in all, not a bad toy though.

This Chuggington Safari Track Set was cute. Pretty easy to assemble even though I had a piece left over when I was done and I looked over the instructions several times to see where I missed it. I assume there was an extra track piece in my box. Overall it's cute. Attractive to the eyes. After maybe 15 minutes I lost interest pretty quick in it. My children played another 20 minutes but now they walk right around it. They do enjoy pressing the car or the railroad crossing to activate the flow. The animals were a nice touch but I do worry about how small they are around a younger child like 3, the suggested age. Does fall apart semi quickly considering it's so touch activated.
