I used the SafeAMP wire harness to update my son's Peg-Perego John Deere Gator ride-on to 18 volts. Installing the wiring harness was quick and easy, and the increased motor power makes the Gator so much fun to ride!
Perfect fit for the battery of the Peg Perego rzr
this did exactly what it was supposed to do! works well
This battery wiring harness pit perfectly for a 4 year old John Deere Peg-Perego riding tractor. The original battery was dead, and the replace from Peg-Perego was priced unreasonably. Instead, we got this harness and a Mighty Max (ML9-12) battery for about half price of the OEM battery - and it works perfectly! The riding tractor is up and running again. The harness allows for a "bring your own battery" approach, which is much nicer than being tied to a single company... and next time the battery needs replacing, we'll be able to keep using this harness, saving more money! The harness itself is well built - thick cables, extra fuses, solid and tight (perfect fitting) connectors for both the battery terminals (the flat ones) and the Peg-Perego specific plug. All in all - a great way to save money and keep your battery powered kid toys from Peg-Perego running!
The wire works, however, I found that the red wire connection was slightly too small for the battery I had (Peg Perego). I had to pull back the rubber on it and use pliers to loosen it just enough. Otherwise, the wires were exactly what I needed and were easy to install. Cheaper than buying the factory battery!
Great option if you don't want to pay the high replacement battery price so you can use a different option, but the connectors aren't a true exact match to the original. They are close and stay in place, but they do not actually snap into place like they should.
