Safety 1st Pressure-Check Gate with SecureTech®, White

This was easy to set up and is so sturdy and strong. We only needed it for our dog, but it feels very safe and strong for children. We're very happy with the product!

Wanted a gate to keep my dogs out of my bedroom. I purchased this strictly for the easy to open and close handle. Easy to install and works perfectly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot say enough positive things about the Safety 1st Pressure-Check Gate with SecureTech which I was given to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel! As a mom to two little ones (3.5 yr old boy and 1.5 yr old girl) I have been on the hunt for a baby gate that could contain them without damaging my walls for three years. All other gates have failed to meet my expectations - well this one blew them all away! I installed it, initially, in a location I wasn't planning on keeping it (in a doorway that would let me confirm the functionality but not damage my paint as EVERY other pressure-mounted gate has) and I loved it so much I moved it right away to its new permanent location (at the bottom of our basement stairs). So i have already put it through the wringer (install / uninstall / install) and it's exceeded all of my expectations! Pros: 1) easy to install (directions make sense and it's a one person job - no additional tools or people required) 2) it left no marks at first location and I've already confirmed no marks were left in its new location (this is huge for me as very other gate has damaged our newly painted walls) 3) it is SUPER secure - no amount of child hanging on this will cause it to budge (although please do not install at the top of any stairs) 4) it is easy to use - carrying groceries in one arm (or two)? No problem - grab the handle and swing the gate with one hand! There are stoppers at the bottom of the gate opening so you can set it to swing in either direction or both directions. 5) latch is super secure - no amount of my children's antics are going to let them outsmart this gate!!! Cons: NONE!!! Honestly this review seems too good to be true but this gate is that good! So happy with it and will certainly purchase at least one additional in the next few days.

Its look and design doesn't make your house look dingy. It fits right in. It took me a total of 10 minutes to install. Very easy and the directions were simple to understand. I used this gate in my basement. My daughter is 2 years old and when we play down in the basement with her toys I get nervous that she will try to climb the stairs and fall backwards because the stairs a steep. This gate keeps her in the basement with me an eases my mind about her safety. My favorite feature of the gate is the handle, it is so easy to use and something I can do with one hand.

I was so excited as we have a 5 month old who will be crawling soon as well as a 9 month old nephew who is over quite a bit! It was easy and quick to put up!! Smooth sailing there and we left it up for a bit and I realized it worked fantastic for our rambunctious dogs as well. They even jumped up and put their paws on the top and it maintained integrity and didn't do damage to the walls or fall down. I am impressed.

I really like this gate, it's perfect for keeping my dogs behind the gate but also for keeping my toddler from going down the hall. There's no way she can open this gate with the locking mechanism on this one. You have to really slide, lift and pull up on the handle to unlock it, which takes a little bit of force. In addition you also have to slide the stoppers on the bottom for the gate to open. I have another baby gate, purchased through another retailer and that one my little one can open with no problem. I also really appreciate the fact this gate requires no drilling. This gate extends from 29"-38" if they make one that extends up to 45" I would replace the other one I have too.

It is a simple, sleek design and would fit right in no matter the decor of your home. My son is getting much more mobile and it gives a lot of peace of mind to be able to close off a portion of the house that isn't safe for him. The packaging is well designed and the instructions are thorough for a pretty easy install. Once it is in it feels sturdy and since it took me a few times to really get the hang of it, I don't imagine my son will be able to unlock it for many years to come. This gate extends from 29"-38" making it flexible and fit for a variety of spaces.

I've been pleasantly surprised to find that I really like it! The Safety 1st Pressure-Check Gate with SecureTech was easy to install, taking only about 25 minutes from unboxing to double-checking all is good. It mounts via a pressure system, perfect for folks like myself who may be less confident with power tools, and also for anyone nervous about drilling into their walls. We currently have it installed to block access to an off-limits room in our home, and I like that the simple, clean design doesn't look too out-of-place. Additionally, the quick, damage-free install process also means it's great for taking on vacations to ensure every space is safe for your little one. Best of all, it has held up to my toddler rattling the bars, and unlike with other gates, he has yet to figure out how to unlock this one. Knowing that he can't outsmart this gate gives me peace of mind when he's out of sight. We did find the latch to be a little tricky to undo quickly. It took a couple of tries to get the hang of it, and I still sometimes struggle a little bit — the SecureTech is very secure! Overall, I think the Safety 1st Pressure-Check Gate with SecureTech is great for families who want a quick, easy, damage-free gate that stands up to regular use. I wouldn't use this particular gate in a high traffic area of your house, its kind of a pain to open, I have 3 gates in my house (dogs) and I put this one in to doorway of a room I don't spend a lot of time in
