Safety 1st Simple Pass Walk-Through Gate, Grey

This is far better than the past baby gate I was using. The metal is very sturdy and durable and my daughter can't just open it like my old baby gate. My old gate was plastic and just not durable enough to hold up to my three year old daughter. My daughter is extremely intelligent and can usually just figure it out but not with this gate she has finally been outsmarted.

This is a nice sturdy gate. It was average easy to install. The gray color is modern and looks like it will last a long time. We will be using to keep our dog out of the kitchen while we eat! It included pads and screws to mount into a wall which would be necessary for children!

This gate was quick and easy to install as per instructions, it is a durable gate; we are using it to keep our little ones and dogs from getting in areas we do not want them to go. It is the perfect size for the area we are using it for and can be adjusted up to 38". We did not have to drill any holes to install it. It has a green line that indicates when the gate is latched and a red that indicates when it's unlatched; we are very happy with this gate as it is very sturdy and can swing open in either direction. The color is nice, it matches well with the wall and will match with most colors. If you are looking for a good little gate, this one will not disappoint you.

I was really excited when this gate came in the mail. Our current gate is a hard plastic one that we have had for several years and it is one that you constantly have to take down anytime somebody wants to go through the doorway. One of the things I liked most about this gate is that it doesn't need to be taken down every time. It's perfect because it can remain up and there is a door section that is a part of the gate and adult can just unlock the gate and go right through without it being taken down. That will make my life so much easier I will not have to worry about where I am going to the the gate or remembering to put it back up. I really like that the skate is awesome metal. The material feels like it is going to last our family a long time and that is something that is very important to me.

This is a nice, easy to install gate that provides a pretty tight closure to any standard opening. We used it at the beginning of a stairway and our opening was slightly wider than what the gate itself if designed for. But it comes with an extension which worked just perfect for us (see the second pic for how to use the extension). The gate comes with a set of four screws that one could use to attach the nobs. But we ended up just using double 3M round shaped tapes (comes with the set) to attach the round nob (?) to the four sides of the staircase. Once those are attached, it is straight forward process of lining the screw bolts and just stretching the gate out to fit the entryway. What's kinda cool about it is that it can open both ways or you can pick a side it opens to and fix it at the bottom to always open one way. This can be switched anytime one wants. Installation took a total of 15 minutes (!). The only thing is that our package did not come with detailed instructions, so we quickly looked up a video online. But even without instructions the gate installation is very intuitive.

If you children then you probably need a baby gate. I run an in home daycare so I have several to help keep them out of rooms they aren't supposed to be in and also to keep my family dog away from the kids during nap time and when they are eating. This is super easy to install and very sturdy. The open latch is strong enough a child will not be able or have a difficult time opening but easy enough with a little strength for an adult to open. I am using mine in my basement to keep the little ones out of my pantry/supply room while they are using the toy room down there. I keep their snacks in there so the little gremlins like to sneak in there and grab granola bars or pudding cups before snack time. This is a nice gate that does its job.

When I got this walk through gate I thought it would be like all the others I have purchased in the past that were made out of just plastic and that were very flimsy and cheaply made but am I happy to say I was totally wrong, this walk through gate is worth every penny, as the name says its walk through so its very useful since you don't have to keep removing it to go through like with other baby gates, it has the way of actually being able to lock the door or just leave it as is. And the installation is a breeze, I loved how not even my 6 year old was able to open it. I really appreciate that its made out of metal so I know I'll be using it for a while and that it won't break as easily as the others did.

I am very happy with this gate! This gate is not only perfect for keeping my 2 dogs out of the living room and kitchen when company is over but for when my niece and nephew visit! It fits every doorway in my house with no problem. The gate height is 28 inches high and can fit into doorways between the sizes of 29 to 38 inches! I easily move this gate as needed to different parts of the house and can tell when the gate is latched by the red/green indicator. My favorite part is that I can walk thru it easily instead of having to lift it completely or climb over it like I did with other ones. It also looks more modern and sleek so it matches my decor which is a plus.

Gate is very easy to install.Gate is very sturdy.The only thing I have a problem with is the spacingbof the bars.I wish they had some gates with bars closer together.I purchased the gate to keep my 5 month old Maltese/chihuahua out of a bedroom.She just walks right thru the bars Lol.I had to weave cardboard thru the bars till she gets a little bigger.

I really wanted to love this gate. I actually have been on the market seeking a walk-through gate that I really could depend on. I own another set of Safety1st gates but it is very difficult to open at times and jumping over it gets frustrating. This was it, at least I thought. I thought the bumpers included would be enough and cause the tightness needed to prevent from the kiddos to push through it. Well, I'm currently renting this unit and we would need to drill this into the wall. Unfortunately, right now we cannot do such a thing in this unit. I misunderstood, wasn't aware that the install of nails would be required. Believed this would be similar to our previous owned ones that didn't require this. My friend just had twins of her own so I will most likely will give to her for her use. I wanted this badly but doesn't fit in with our current circumstances.
