Sakura Cray-Pas Expressionist Oil Pastel Set - Soft Oil Pastels for Artists - 12 Colors

These in my opinion are great quality oil pastels. I always used these when I took art in high school. The quality is amazing. They are able to blend well without smearing and it's vibrant as well. Of course there aren't many colors to choose from but if you think about the quality of it you will understand. Again, they're great, even if they're were sold in 6 colors I still would buy them hands down!

These are what elementary art teachers recommend for their students. And with COVID its best to have an individual set and not share across classes and grade levels.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved my Sakura Cray-pas Expressionist Oil Pastels, 36 Color Set, as a gift and i love coloring/ drawing but what it really works well with is drawing and coloring in conjunction with my husbands model railroad set..I just love how wonderful the colors are.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would consider my skill level with painting with different mediums as not quite a beginner, but creeping into intermediate. I had a hard time working with these, the consistency is like lipstick. I could not get them to layer, and blending just turned it pretty muddy. It helped a little if I worked and then let it set a little bit and went back. However, I found it the nicest looking when I basically was left with just the staining of the pastel. I'll keep working with them to try to find the learning curve, but they are definitely not beginner friendly.
