I have very soft nails that peel and I could never grow them. My husband gave me the starter kit for Christmas and now I am hooked. My nails never looked nicer! The Salon Gel Polish is so easy to use that I now have 8 different colors and have even tackled a French manicure (that looked pretty darned good for a first try). I would recommend this polish to anyone. The packaging promises up to 2 weeks of wear and I find that it is closer to 3 !
I absolutely love this as the wear is excellent. I have a problem where my nails develop tiny bubbles all over even when done at the salon and have no problems here. I would love more options for business such as a french set or full cover neutral shades as I can't wear colour at work.
Recently purchased the starter kit and two other colours with my sister. We needed a good option since nail salons are closed. I work in a hospital and I'm constantly washing my hands and using harsh hand sanitizers, so I was worried that this gel polish wouldn't last but it's been amazing. I'm so impressed! All they need is a beautiful solid black polish!!
Tried all kinds of gel, shellac, salon visits to get gel/shellac with UV (not good) and I am so happy to say that Sally Hansen's Gel Polish is AMAZING! Easy to do at home. It is important to remember to apply thin coats and cure under the LED lamp after completing one hand at a time. For example, apply base coat to all nails one one hand then cure. Then move onto next hand to apply base coat and cure. You will be impressed with the salon quality and durability you get by the results. This is the 3 step system with the LED lamp used to cure the polish. It lasts as long as shellac/gel you get at the salon, but you need patience and to do it according to the instructions. You will save a ton of money!! You can also do nail art/stamping over the poilsh: After applying the colored polish and curing it, wipe off the sticky layer with acetone, apply your stamp or nail art, let it dry, then apply the basecoat (step 1) over the art, cure, do not wipe off the sticky layer this time, then apply top coat (step 3), and cure, and then remove the sticky layer with the post nail wipe. AWESOME!!
I have been using these products for over five years now and am very satisfied. The only thing that's missing is more colors that are not shiny. Please come up with more colors.
I love the product, tried different companies, but this one last the longest. I don't like the limited choice in colours. I would love a black one and grey, without glitter.
I followed the instruction to the letter and the result is perfect. I recommend the kit.
All of the colours I have are great. The gel easily lasts two weeks unchipped and shiny. There is a fair amount of polish in the bottle which is nice, and lasts a while. I would give five stars if more colours were available and released regularly because I love this polish.
… are my go to colours… i've been using for years and as long as you do the nail prep the wear is amazing …dries instantly of course, doesn't chip anywhere near what a regular polish will, especially w top coat. My only advice is to make sure your nails are absolutely dry and clean (I wipe w alcohol right before base coat) . I find when it's fresh if you soak in the tub too long or r doing dishes it can lift in one full pce. … it gets harder over the first few days, And once cured is not as much of a problem. My only issue is there hasn't been any great colour updates in quite a while !! Would love a really intense deep brick/rust colour (like paprika), Tumeric! (Spice colours for winter ‘22) a true blk., a deep ocean/Prussian blue and a few muted neutrals in colours that aren't naturals…more like the ranges in other finishes such as Love Me Lilac… . I am adding a picture of a very stale manicure that's three weeks old now and has lost the shine - just to show how chip proof it is -if you're hard on your nails like I am. UPDATE COLOURS! Pullease. !
I bought this product to have a long lasting manicure for a vacation. The polish cracked and chipped within 3days and I was left with a mess!! I didn't think to bring remover due to the it was gel. This product is way too expensive for what it is, which is garbage now.
