At first the auger kept jamming up. After the first year went by, Buyers came out with a bigger and stronger auger motor which makes a big difference. The polymer plastic body is nice, makes it lighter and easier to clean and no rust. Does not handle backups into snow banks well, be prepared to rebuild chute assembly at least once a season. Over all I am satisfied with the product.

Slow application
You have to drive too slow with this. With the auger maxed out I can only idle the truck to apply sufficient salt. I have a snowex helixx also that with the auger runningg half I drive 10 mph.
