I have tried n wasted soo many gf breads n ended up using Schar deli bread, not happy but had to have something! Until this Sams choice white bread!!! i am totally happy, do not leave most of bread on plate like usual, in fact none is left on plate!! The size of ea. slice is a little too small n I haven't tried it w/o toasting a lil bit, but its truly amazing for gf, I've even had grilled cheese n cold cut sandwiches! Amazing
My husband has gluten intolerance and finding gluten free bread that tastes good and is moist has been almost impossible. Sam's Choice Gluten-Free bread has been consistently the best gluten free bread we could find. It is so nice to find something gluten-free that you like as good or better than bread that contains gluten.
I don't normally like Sams or GV brand stuff. It resonates in my mind everything I do not want in my food but THIS..... they finally made it. Gluten free bread is really hard to get right. Udis is like card board and we GF people I guess get used to very low depressing standards. I was ready for what type of cardboard with this.... to my surprise it was moist... it was larger than a thimble...it wasn't dry in your mouth or throat going down. I was so excited that I regressed to kidhood with a butter sugar sandwich! I suggest try it. I think you will like it. No indigestion after this no histamine reaction from what I can tell.
A few years back I started throwing everything I ate back up, within 30 minutes of consuming. Turned out I had developed an allergy to gluten, due to a genetic mutation I was unaware I possessed. It's been tough as I grew up baking bread from scratch for our family, up to 8 loaves at a time. We even ground our own wheat into flour for the bread. Gluten, was an intrical part of my life, and in everything from cookies, pizza, fast food %26 restaurant food to bread. I was horrified, in the beginning at the alternatives for gluten containing products. They were bland and the texture was usually awful. Fortunately, I've learned more and discovered more in recent years. Sam's choice white gluten free bread is my favorite next to the "Against the Grain Baguettes ". It makes great sandwiches, wonderful toast and perfect grilled sandwiches. At Walmart, it's the best option available for gluten free bread, I have a brighter outlook about my gluten restrictions due to quality products such as this one!
If you want something plain to help settle your stomach or to use as sandwich bread, this is the one! I've tried a lot of gluten free breads and this is the only one I've found that is similar in taste and soft texture to regular white bread. Unsure how it is toasted but I don't need it for that. I saw many reviews saying this goes bad quickly, but when it comes to GF bread you have to keep it in the fridge!
It's the most like regular bread compared to other types of gluten-free bread. it has a more palitable texture and isn't as dry or cake like in texture like other gluten-free breads. it toasts well too. id like to try other flavors of this bread or if they made bagels too. id try a cinnamon raisin kind as well or even if they made English muffins too. even if they had some with caraway seeds or some kind of herb bread too id be interested.
This is by far the best gluten free bread for sandwiches and you don't even need to toast it. I do wish they could make it with cleaner ingredients, but for sandwiches it's the best option I have found. The slices are almost normal sized and it tastes great. You can use it for just about anything too. it doesn't make the best hot dog bun, but it works in a pinch.
This is THE BEST gluten free bread my family and I have Ever had, and we have tried every brand. We are so delightfully surprised my the moist bread, the texture is soft and doesn’t break, it is as delicious I toasted as it is toasted and the flavors are neutral but bread like - nothing weird to interrupt a sandwich flavor. Also, the ingredients are pretty clean and simple, my family has a lot of sensitivities, and this bread does not have a lot of added stuff like too many weird starches, pea and flax meal, and all kinds of other flours that we usually can’t eat. LOVE IT!
It's delicious and gluten-free. I simply microwave it, using a variety of toppings such as peanut butter, cheese, butter, jam, etc. Also good for sandwiches. As is typical with GF breads, the slices are tiny. But I'm used to that. I like the soft and chewy texture microwaving brings out. Toasting did not work so well.
Ashamed of Sam’s %26 Walmart for making %26 selling this Sam’s Choice gluten free bread product. We ate it for awhile thinking it was a good option for gluten free bread .. and then our nutrition apps let us know it rated Poor - due to very hazardous chemicals in the bread that are known to cause cancer %26 reproductive harm… And the Prop 65 Warning is right on the package! We will not buy or support this ;( (None of this is the case for the other several gluten free bread options we checked at Walmart %26 other grocery stores.)
