Great! So soft, fresh, VERY good making homemade chicken pesto!! (Tropical smoothie cafe recipe) I love them. I don’t know why so many negative reviews but I think they’re good and WELL worth the price!! Attached are photos of what I made with them. HIGHLY recommend!
I use this pita bread for pizza crust. My 4yr old son loves the pizza. I buy HUNTS spaghetti sauce traditional flavor and block Monterey jack cheese and shred it. I make a pizza seasoning with garlic powder, oregano, parsley 1/4 tsp of each. I buy the Prima Della pepperoni here on the Walmart app. These pizzas turn out so good. easy lunch for kids. cook them in an air fryer for 9mn and select the pizza on the air fryer. try them. Freeze the pita breads. use when needed. They freeze so well. They thaw out fast
I used to purchase these pitas regularly, however it appears they have changed the product, but kept the same packaging. These are dry, chewy and harden when you attempt to warm them. The previous recipe was a white, soft, fluffy pita and these appear to be wheat and are dry. They are terrible. Please bring back the original recipe.
Purchased 3/14… the Best Buy date was 3/12. Mold spots in both packages. Seems like the online pickup orders always get the worst of the pile.
I didn't feel like I hated this, but after ticking the boxes I realized my problem. This is fine flatbread, but it's not a pita. It's like someone described a Pita to someone who regularly makes Naan--kind of cakey bread texture, no crunch of any kind, barely any salt.
These are nothing like what the advert makes them look. They are not good, soft, Greek pita. there is nothing "Greek pita" about them. I had to look at the packaging of what I received multiple times and cross-reference it with what is shown on the website to make sure I wasn't delivered something different. No, it's these. Except they AREN'T like what you see on the website. They are thin and have a terrible grainy texture. They are incredibly dry in the mouth. If you fill them with contents and curve it boat style around the contents, it will just crack. The taste and texture are as if they are made of wheat and sawdust. I do not recommend. Will not buy again. There isn't much you could do to these to make them good.
Monosodium phosphate (MSP), also known as sodium dihydrogen phosphate, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaH2PO4. It's a white, crystalline powder that is widely used in various applications due to its properties as a buffering agent, emulsifier, and pH stabilizer. Disodium phosphate It's used in a variety of applications, including as a buffering agent in biological and biochemical processes, in food products, and as a laxative.
Please do NOT buy these! I can say I didn’t expect “great”, but these rank right up with of the most disgusting excuse for a pita that exists. Can’t state that strongly enough. They are not outdated on the package, so that wasn’t it. Cardboard just might even be better. Pass these up!!
I agree with other reviewers that gave these flat Greek style pitas a low rating. These pitas are thin and hard. I tried warming them in a skillet with a little olive oil and even added a little water to try and steam them to make them softer. They still cracked in half when folded around my fillings of chicken and lettuce. The taste isn’t that great either. It says they are a white pita, but they are more like a wheat bread pita. I will not be buying these again.
If you purchased these in the past because they were soft and fluffy, perfect for gyros... don't bother. They've been changed. They're now dry and tough, like many other brands of pita bread. Probably good for stuffing with falafel and the like, but absolutely nothing like they used to be.
