Samsung 1.2 Cu. Ft. Countertop Convection Microwave

Since day 1 of having this product, it has replaced our separate microwave, griller, convection oven. We like to bake our own home-made pizza & this great oven does its best performance. It saved us a lot of space on our countertop because it's an all-in-one oven. We roasted a whole roaster chicken, and the result, crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside!!! And just like our other Samsung appliances (yes, we had a refrigerator, washing machine & dryer), it's as quiet as compared to our old microwave (or even I bet with the other brands).

This oven does it all... microwave, fry, grill, bake, broil. I don't like to use my big oven especially in the summer, it heats up my entire place. I was looking for a microwave/convection oven combo and have been looking at the Samsung for a while but it does even more than I knew. I love it!!!

I baked homemade biscuits with a tester in the power convection mode and the others in the oven. The one in the Samsung rose more, was more moist, and was baked more quickly! Then I split the biscuits, butter the tops and grill for a bit to brown them under my broiler. In the Samsung, I used the grill mode on the crusty plate on the rack. They crisp browned to perfection and not as dried out as the ones in the oven. I've made garlic toast in minutes for dinner with no heat in the house! Next are cookies, casseroles and some baking tries. Love It!

I am remodeling. This is the best option because I can use it now and build it in with the trim kit later. Previous reviews said there was not a quick start, but there is a 30 min add that all you have to do is hit that and push start (ok, two steps) to initiate the microwave cycle. I like the broil function and the convection although I have not used them enough to say they are great (will update later). Overall a great purchase especially given the reasonable price.

I love this microwave. Brought it home, cleaned it up read a minute then made an amazing 1.2 lb T-bone steak. I just used a bit of famous Dave's steak seasoning and put the steak on the tall rack, set the program to Auto Power Convection. It beeped when I had to turn the steak over. When it was done I let it sit for a few minutes. When I tried the steak I was speechless, it was super tender and a beautiful pink inside. The steak had so much flavor I cannot begin to describe it. This oven can let anyone cook a perfect steak. I had almost forgot, had made some homemade russet potato fries that were great, I cut my potatoes, rinse then dry with a paper towel. I spray a thin cost of canola oil on the potatoes place then in the oven and let the slim fry program handle the rest. There is one negative thing though.... The menus and buttons are not really intuitive to use. Once you get past that your ready for some amazing food.

The first thing that makes this a great product is that it replaces several products. This is important when space is a premium. The accessories provided are highly useful. The unit itself is very attractive & relatively quiet in its operation. I love the drop down door design! I also am starting to love the design of the control panel. It gives you the feeling that you're operating a food replicator in a sci-fi movie! This is a different animal than most microwaves so there is a lengthy learning curve. Don't lose the manual!!! This unit has replaced a traditional, more powerful microwave so there is an increase in the time it take to heat or cook things. That being said, everything actually tastes better with this unit & that's far more important!

Great replacement for old convection, which passed away recently. We like the fold down door, verse the swing out door the old one had. We have only had it a short time and are still learning it's many modes, but are very happy with it.

First the oven is heavy. It took my wife and I to lift it into place. Once set up I took the time to read the manual which is very importent because of the many setting the oven has. The first item we cooked was a piece of fish. Although the fish turned out good the smell of the fish is still present. The next item we tired was cooking a steak. We weren't impressed with the grill setting. The steak turned out good but there is nothing like a good outdoor grill. We then tried a whole chicken using the convection settings. The chicken cooked about twice as fast and turned into a great meal. We also tried the two different stands and they are a nice add-on when used with the supplied cooking plate. Over all a 5 star oven minus the grill feature.

This may be a good oven/microwave choice if you are making an apartment or live in a very small space with no other oven. It does not cook any better or faster with the combination of microwave and convection or grill. The grill feature is weak. So if you are planning to use this in conjunction with a full sized oven do not recommend. If you are seeking to conserve space and use this as your primary oven and microwave then it is a good choice.
