SAMSUNG 65-inch Class QLED Q80T Series - 4K UHD Direct Full Array 12X Quantum HDR 12X Smart TV with Alexa Built-in (QN65Q80TAFXZA, 2020 Model)

Excellent TV with sharp pictures and great acoustics. It is like being in a movie theatre. Great for Netflix movies. My only complaint is that the online delivery does not include wall mounting services. May I suggest that Samsung provides a list of wall mounting contractors, whom the buyer can contact. I had to google for one . Fortunately obtained the services of a reliable wall mounter.

Our first reaction when turning in the tv was “WOAH!” We were blown away how clear the picture was. The QLED and HDR brought out so much detail it gave you that “it's almost like we're there!” feeling. The UI is probably the best interface I've used, very easy to navigate and customise, also having Alexa in built has been very handy. Setting up the TV was a breeze using the onscreen guide and the app on my phone we were up and running in minutes. The sound quality is surprisingly good! Not as good as a separate sound system but by using the intelligence mode you do get some decent sound. One of the main reasons of buying this TV was the HDMI 2.1 port, so knowing the TV is ready for the next gen consoles is a great feeling. Overall we are very pleased with the TV, with its crystal clear screen, decent sound and great UI it's definitely a TV I would recommend.

This was an amazing purchase and im glad I waited for the 2020 model to come out. The picture quality is amazing, the extra features it has like ambient mode is perfect to go to sleep to and the processor is very fast and responsive Overall its a very beautiful device and amazing device

My daughters TV packed up, so I offered her my 50 Panasonic TV as a replacement. She is working from home during the pandemic so needed a TV to keep her children entertained. I researched TVs a went for the Samsung. Unlike my old Panasonic, it has no Subtitles, Teletext and it won't play through my Sonos surround sound. A bit disappointed so far

I bought this TV thinking it would be able to get the most out of my current Xbox One X but it is unable to display the resolution at 1440p at 120hz which the cheaper Q60 series Tv is able to do, and now it's left me questioning if it will be able to get the most out of the next generation Xbox which was one of the main reason I choose this TV

The TV itself looks quite nice but its shame that it doesn't perform as nice as it looks. Switching it on the colours are ridiculously inaccurate and look neon. Switching through all the picture settings it doesn't impress. (Movie mode is the most accurate btw) In Game Mode local dimming is downgraded to keep input lag low, as a result it suffers pretty bad blooming. (It only has about 50 local dimming zones) They try to minimize the blooming with an aggressive local dimming algorithm but this has an impact on HDR, with objects that should look bright having dimmed edges taking away the shine from HDR content, especially in games. HDR peak brightness is roughly 700 Nits. There is no one connect box but it has 4 HDMI ports. None of these are HDMI 2.1, however HDMI port 4 has HDMI 2.1 like features. So if you are looking for full fat HDMI 2.1 then maybe look elsewhere. Motion isn't great on this TV unless you turn most of the TV's features off. Streaming will show blocky artifacts with picture processing on, and judder and ghosting will appear across TV viewing and gaming. Turning everything off helps combat this. Black levels are ok but nothing special, especially in HDR, due to the fact the TV has a low number of dimming zones. The sound is quite good but i'm sure most of you will use a soundbar or some other kind of sound system. Still no Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos this year. You can get Dolby Atmos sound but you will need to get it through a compatible soundbar, just not through the TV itself. The price is simply too high for what it is and offers. Way less dimming zones than last years models yet still the same price as last years.

I bought this TV at Costco for $2,199. The picture is solid but it won't turn on my Denon AV 1913 receiver. Once you turn on the Receiver manually it works perfectly. It even turns off when you turn off the TV. This didn't happen with my 8 year old Sharp. So, I purchased a new receiver, Yamaha TSR-700 , and it does the same thing. Samsung support is zero help. Searching the Samsung blogs it appears this is a known issue and has been one for over a year. Come on Samsung update the firmware and fix this problem or at least publish a list of which receivers will work with their TV. I really don't want to keep purchasing Receiver after Receiver on a trial and error basis to find one that will work as it supposed to work. If someone has a receiver that works with a 75 inch Q80T please post. Thanks in advance!

When background is panning, the dirty screen effect(horizontal grey bars top to bottom) makes watching sport frustrating. It is also visible in other shows/movies if the background is moving. This is very disappointing at this price level!!! The remote is also very disappointing, badly engineered with no thought to practical applications that the customer may need. These massive day to day problems are a shame, as the upscaling is fantastic, and picture is excellent(apart from dirty screen effect) sound is very good. Great product let down by two basic issues! I will buy another brand next time.

Got the 55' Q80T based on good reviews but am pretty disappointed with it. Out of the box there was a lot of judder on movies, gaming and sports. After updating firmware and adjusting some settings, particularly switching off motion settings, there is no more judder when I watch TV, movies or game. Watching sports,on the other hand, remains quite stuttery regardless of settings. I've tried everything and nothing works. Some settings improve matters a bit (best I've ever got was on auto motion settings) but never remove the stutter. I cannot believe that none of the reviews mention this as there are a lot of forums online where loads of people report this issue on all QT models apart from Q60T which is based on a different architecture. I will be returning for a refund

Bought this tv thinking it would be a vast improvement on my old one, which was not even full HD. However picture quality is rather below par considering it is a quantum chip with 4k upscale. Some of the channels looks exactly like they did on my previous set. I'm very very disappointed and wish I had spent the money on something else.
