I have never been a fan of Samsung TVs until I bought the Samsung The Frame TV. It's an excellent TV with great picture quality and a wonderful Frame when not in use. We bought this TV initially due to the idea of Frame and we build a full wall around this idea. Loving it every day
I brought this TV solely for its ability to be used as a photo frame when not in use and it has made a huge difference to the room. My photos in art mode look stunning and combined with the wall mount and invisable cable it looks just like a backlit canvas hanging on the wall. TV picture is sharp, vibrant and provides an impressive picture. The only point for improvement is the motion sensor can be temperamental at times.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to upgrade to a new TV for sometime, and despite the availability of the OLED TVs I opted for this. Firstly an upgrade from FHD from my current TV to 4K , secondly I sometimes use this as my monitor when we search for something online as group, a good visual effect for the PC usage and lastly the option of artwork display while it is off is extremely pleasing, I do not see a black area but a work of art, I don't mind the artwork not being used as slideshow from my favourites - as if u had one physical painting hanging on a wall how often do we change this? It is odd and delightful where I find myself starring at a standby TV screen.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Frame looks gorgeous when wall mounted, and the ability to have it double as a display of art adds serious heft to this core concept. However, accessibility of options and the muddly UI make customising the set up irritating. I'm no technophobe, but had to contact customer service twice to work out how to set up simple actions like having the motion sensor wake the TV from sleep when I enter the room. Additionally, there is no option to use the slightly more interesting Ambient Mode in this capacity. Worse, the music visualiser included in Ambient Mode distorts the playing music awfully, even at low volumes. Despite touting news headlines integrated into this feature, they never loaded up for me. Google Assistant isn't present on board despite also being mentioned across marketing materials. There's more scruffiness abounding, including unclear instructions in the manual, vague button controls on the remote (no assignable buttons? No shortcut to Ambirnt Mode?) a screen display that could be better, and speakers that pale against TVs half the cost. Against all this, it's beautiful as an object, and the Art and Ambient Modes are interesting ideas compellingly executed. I'd still recommend this TV for the patient among us who loathe sets as monolithic black volumes in their living space, but be prepared for some headscratching set up and lucklustre features among the better realised aspects.
I had a J2, J5, J7, J8 and now I bought a A52...I have even this phones because they are very good to resist hits even, but the J8 is best than A52, why? 2 examples, you Changed several things to see vídeos, and to paint on the pictures, to do that I need push diferents buttons and with the J8 just 1.
I bought this TV two weeks ago. Setting it up today I discovered three things- the 32” doesn't come with an Ethernet port!! You have to rely on wifi. And secondly, my slimline hi-tech cord is non-existent - the 32” comes with a thick ugly grey cord (not very arty), and finally that the antenna port is at the back of the TV not on the oneConnect Box- reducing again the arty look of the TV, now requiring two ugly cables to protube from the base of my “artwork”. I'm not happy with these issues, but have to put up with them unless I want to invest in a 43” screen which is WAY too big for the space.
Great image and sound quality are spoiled by a train-wreck of an interface and non-functioning features. Art mode is buggy and only works intermittently, and slide show locks up the device frequently. There is no rearranging or shuffling art. Ambient mode is incompatible with other features like Art mode. Frequent power off/on cycles of the One Connect box are required. I am hopeful, not optimistic, that Samsung will release an update to the software that will address the many deficiencies, but I have learned the hard way that these are persistent issues which have been raised for almost two years. Had I realized the extent of the issues, I would have purchased a television and saved big money.
TV looks great and setup is easy. However, as mentioned by some other reviews on here, the apps and menu are very slow and this morning have just decided to stop working all together. Both remote controls unresponsive and stuck on an annoying channel! Really disappointed as never had an issue with Samsung products before and for the price you would expect it to work flawlessly.
Do not be fooled by the promo photos, this model DOES NOT come with the clear "almost invisible cable. Instead they have provided a thick grey cable which connects to the one box, and on top of that, the aerial cable still connects directly into the back of the TV leaving 2 ugly cables hanging down. SAMSUNG, WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE BOX HERE??? Very disappointed, kind of defeats the whole purpose of buying a unit like this. What a mess.
No end of problems. Even after sent to local repairers, this tv still does not work correctly. It struggles with the most basic functions, unable to cope with terrestrial tv, and the menu navigation is very jumpy. Total disaster. Talking to samsung support also very challenging.
