SAMSUNG 77" Class S90D OLED 4K Smart TV QN77S90DAEXZA 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV 2 weeks ago, the picture quality is amazing, the blacks are true black so are the whites and it has great viewing from an angle which other displays lack, also the menu guide is easy to use unlike other TV brands making it a good choice for someone who isn't good with technology.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10 year old TV suddenly died, so I needed a new TV, but didn't have the money to go crazy. This time of the year, the previous 2024 models are heavily discounted, so it was a great time to spend some money that wasn't planned for. I had been dreaming of getting an OLED TV, because I am a movie collector and own a lot of 4K UHD Blu-ray discs, that look best on a HDR compatible TV. I also use Plex on my computer, to stream my local movie library to the TV. I am extremely happy with my new Samsung (2024) S90D 55" OLED TV! Blacks look like true black and not washed out grey, compared to my old TV. The colours are much more vibrant and accurate as well. Switching between different settings, apps, and scrolling through Netflix is extremely "snappy" and responsive - there is no lag. It took a while to setup correctly, because there are a lot if different settings in the Advanced Menu to correct, so that the colours are presented naturally. However, once you have this TV dialed in correctly, the image quality is simply amazing!!! I am extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this TV to anyone, especially if you live in an apartment, and don't have the space for an oversized TV. Thanks Samsung :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to replace a rather old television as watching anything on it was not great. A promotion popped up and this item seemed like a great upgrade, i did research and made the discussion to trade up. I am overall happy with the picture quality and performance. I possibly should have got the next size up but it still looks great both during bringht daylight hours or night. It is very light and fragile take when opening/installing. The instructions were helpful to only remove the plastic cover once installed in a mounted position. The default settings seem to be fine for me for both Xbox and 4k stream/disc or blue ray. There seems to be an issue with smartthings since I added the TV. I am yet to address this. It works with Alexa fine, but caused errors in google home. My parents asked for the same one before I had it delivered, but they missed out and got the The Frame 65" for them, the matt screen is better for where they have placed it. There is no direct sunlight reflected where I have placed this TV and the gloss panel looks great.

I read indepth reviews of this model and the S95 OLEd model. The picture quality is amazing, the depth of black is great. An excellent model, I'm very happy with my purchase, Excellent connectivity, setup was also very easy.

I purchased this TV a few weeks ago now and don't want to turn it off. The ease of setup was amazing - setup on the TV or via your smart phone. The home page layout is intuiative and logical with plenty of programs to explore straight out of the box with the inclusion of Samsung Plus TV. Colour range is incredible, loading speeds are fast and build quality is impressive. I found the TV to incredibly thin and suprisingly light which helps with transport and install. All the small details have been taken care of with a sollar charging remote, tear away packaging to help with unboxing and the quick setup via smart phone. Fantastic stuff Samsung!

Unlike previously purchased TV's (other brands) there was little clear instructions. Trial and error won the day. However this would not prevent recommending the TV to others. Good picture quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this TV about two weeks ago and so far we are happy with it. I wanted to get the S95D however the budget wouldn't stretch that far so went for this model instead. The pros are; excellent picture quality and good management of glare, which was the main reason for wanting the higher model and I am pleased that I didn't need to go for the higher model for this. The cons; There is a "judder" when content is panning which I find super annoying. We run our content through a competitor 4K streaming box rather than the Samsung interface and have adjusted some settings on that which has improved this issue but not resolved it completely. The issue may be linked to specific streaming services or internet congestion so I will observe and adjust settings again if required. the other small issue is when setting up, the TV asked if I wanted to use Amazon Alexa or Bixby for voice commands (who is Bixby?) We selected Alexa, but it kept randomly popping up with a message "loading Amazon Alexa" in the middle of a program so we ditched Alexa and swapped to Bixby who doesn't need to load during a program. (we use voice commands through the 4K streaming device anyway) Overall happy with the TV, Our last Samsung TV lasted over 10 years so it's a big improvement. If I can resolve the judder issue I will have no complaints.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great TV. The 1 year warranty is very disappointing with no options to increase it. For such a higj end TV the bezel and stand look cheap compared to the 15year old Samsung i am replacing. The remote is horrible. No backlight on the buttons and having to use the same button to do multiple inputs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a few weeks ago for a new place. Was tossing up between the 95D and 90D. The glossy screen hasn't caused any issues with glare which is great and despite saying that OLED aren't as bright as other technologies I've found this TV to be bright enough in all the conditions my places throws at it, including a west facing window. I haven't tried all the features or options available, and probably won't but it's doing what it was bought for wonderfully. I do have to say, that although it's beautiful design, I'm very nervous thinking about moving it as the screen is so thin. Definitely a two person job if you want to adjust, move, or relocate this anywhere.

The software is horrible though, constantly trying to force you to watch awful Samsung TV Plus, even if you disable it then it replaces it with a huge banner advertising it. The TV seems to actively discourage you from watching terrestrial TV as well. I don't mind having extra free channels but why go to such an extent to make me watch them?
