Samsung 990 EVO 1TB PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD Fast Efficient Black internal Drive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This SSD is very fast and very reliable. I bought an HP 4TB unit that lived and died in this one's (ever-continuing) lifetime. Heat has never been a problem unlike some SSDs. Overall a great product I reccomend when people look for SSDs.

Couldn't find a nag or flaw in the build easy to plug in to almost any smart device and provide a accessible files ( audio or video ) .And for the gamer on the road a device that's not only a storage drive, its your portable library of your favorites making it easier to plug-in play as you want or need instantaneously read and their for you like Samsung has pride producing time and time again model after model

I got it when I purchased my Book 5. I have not had ant lags on my laptop and it's great knowing that I can store additional files in the sevond SSD instead of using the main one. Plus using Samsung magician really helps to check health and temperature. Start up is fast!

The 990 is a nice speedy ssd that I recommend if you got the money for it. I've had mine for 3 years and I have no problems with it. It's very good at keeping up with my gaming and file transferring.

It was showing as installed in partitions, but when I tried to install Windows 11 or any Windows at all, it did not show at all in the drives section when I was trying to install it. Had a heck of a time trying to get it to install Windows 11 on this. I know this is going to sound complicated, but the only way I got it installed on the drive was I had to use cloning software that had Windows 10 on it, and then after I cloned it, I installed it in my laptop, where I had to use Windows Assistant to install Windows 11 on my computer.  All in all, I did get it to install, and after all day of trying to figure it out and frying my brain to get this to work, I DID IT, and all I was able to say was HOORAY, and I showed it who was boss.  Otherwise this works great, and at least now I have an already cloned drive for backup to use if I ever have problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drive has been running flawlessly for me with incredible speeds and reliability. Early on, there was a well-documented firmware issue that required an immediate update to prevent rapid health degradation, which was definitely a scare at the time. ​Thankfully, the issue was fully resolved via a firmware patch, and newer production models likely come with the fix pre-installed right out of the box. Once updated, it performs exceptionally well. Just be sure to check Samsung Magician when setting it up to verify your firmware is up to date!
