Samsung DVD-VR375 DVD/VCR Combo

This unit works great. It does enhance the picture better than other more expensive units. Even my 20 year old DVD's look great. It's a great product, and I have already recommended it to others.

I purchase this product because my mother wanted a dvd and vcr recorder,she wanted to transfer alll her vcr tapes of family gathering to dvd,very easy to use and records right from camcorder,easy set up and directions on pamphlet are also simple.would recommend

Works very well, excellent transfer of your old vhs tapes onto DVD.

For years I have wanted to transfer my old VHS tapes of my children growing up, but scared to invest in a DVD/VCR combo that would ruin these memorable tapes. I finally did it because of Samsung's reputation and boy am I glad I did. The old home movies transfer so smoothly. I have transferred 16 hours of home movies to date and not one problem. GREAT PRODUCT! EASY TO USE!

This DVD/VCR combo recorder and player does everything it promised, but it has one minor flaw. The remote either has a very narrow beam, or the receiver portion has too narrow an input, but it must be aimed just perfectly to work. Even if I think I aimed it oerfectly, (I'm about 10 feet away) it still may not work. On occasion I have actually had to walk up to within 4 feet of the unit before it accepts the remote signal.

The main reason I purchased this was so that I could copy home movies from our old 8MM camcorder over to DVD. The beginning of the DVD starts out fine but as more of the movie plays the lips don't match with the spoken words. It's like watching a badly dubbed chinese action movie. I haven't tried copying directly from the VHS to the DVD, that might be different, but it certainly doesn't work for what I bought it for. It does give a very clear picture on our HDTV with the 1080i upconversion and I am happy with the overall product, I just wish my home movies didn't turn into some badly dubbed foreign language film.

Sorry folks... I have several Samsung electronics in my home, but this is the first time that I've been totally dissatisfied! A rocket scientist, I'm not! This equipment was a nightmare... I returned the product for a Sony... No disrespect to Walmart...I will continue to buy the majority of things that I need from there.

I bought this to transfer family vhs tapes to dvd and the audio/video on the dvd would not sync up correctly. It was easy to connect and set-up, but it did not perform what I needed it to do so I returned it and bought a sony dvd recorder/vhs combo and it works perfectly.

Owned two of these. First one did not even power on when I took it out of the box. I returned it for another one. The second worked OK for about 9 months but now the DVD recorder is not working.

Anti copying technology "features" renders this product useless for recording television shows. it only has value for recording home movies. It's a waste of money if you want to record anything with a copyright.
