Wonderful dryer

evmaster23671 December 6, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the units are very sleek and performance is great. the integration with samsung smart things is wonderful as you can control the machine and see its status from anywhere. it comes pre-loaded with a ton of different cycle types. if both the washer and dryer are linked in smart things, the dryer knows the appropriate cycle to queue up automatically which is nice. so if i run a bulky wash for a blanket, the dryer turns on with a heavy duty cycle to match it. same goes for delicate loads. the dryer seems to be very powerful, as it makes quick work of bulkier items that often required multiple cycles on our last machine. the lint trap is quite large and seems to catch a lot more, which is appreciated as i feel i will need to clean out the external vent less frequently

AMAZING SAMSUNG DRYER!

Tatiana M November 27, 2022

What else can I say other than "Samsung does it again with its dryer DVE46BG6500V!". My partner and I bought our first home about a year ago, but we could not afford to actually get a good quality dryer for a while because we were tight on money, so we've been struggling with an old machine that does not actually dry. We finally decided to get this Samsung dry because we have a lot of big things to wash and dry, such as bedding, sofa covers and washable rugs. This machine is amazing. The ability to dryer in a quarter of the time that my old dry thing, while also being energy efficient is incredible!. I cannot also stop bragging about the ability to control the machine from my phone, which to me, is freaking cool. This product is great and it's worth every penny. The specific drying settings, such as bedding, sportswear and heavy, really help you set the drying time without a problem, instead of manually setting it yourself. I love my new Samsung dryer!

6500 Dryer

Hailstorm929 December 6, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this dryer. IT's very slick, and the inside is huge. I love that the app shows when loads are done. I have a small house, and am so impressed with how much I can fit in this machine without taking up more space. My husband is sick of me talking about how big the drum is, but I'm thrilled I can dry our bedding in 1 cycle, instead of 3+ with our old dryer.

Great Machine

Mattz224 December 11, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great addition to the home. We had an older dryer that was energy inefficient and only ran at a few temperature settings. This machine has a lot of customizable options which is great for the different clothing materials we have. It's also handy to have the app which tells us when the load is done. There was nothing more frustrating that walking down the stairs and seeing the dryer still has 10 minutes left. This app prevents that issue from occurring. Since using we have had no issues with the machine and everything is working better than expected.

Great WI-FI Connected Dryer

Ramaram October 22, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just like the Washer I reviewed previously, I'm very pleased with its paired dryer. The wifi connectivity and automatic programming are nice. I like the way it looks. The dryer times are similar to my old dryer, which is a bit longer than I was hoping for. Its energy efficient as well! Great purchase.

Awesome dryer!

Tulip84 October 11, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this dryer and while it makes me feel old to say that, it truly is really nice. It has a huge lint catcher which is great if you dry blankets, and it reminds you each time to empty it so when my kids switch laundry they don't forget. There are a ton of drying options and having the app is great because it lets me know when my laundry is done. Plus, I can customize the dryer settings from my phone which I don't do often but it is a nice feature. And, it's so quiet! My last dryer was a Samsung as well but it was over 10 years old and it was loud when drying. This one, you just hear the clothes moving around a bit but it's not super loud. Final thing, you can turn off the sounds. I hate all of the noises washers and dryers make when pressing the buttons and this one lets you turn them all off!

Great dryer, could be better in some areas

Pete February 17, 2023

Having owned a previous Samsung washer and dryer set from more than a decade ago, I was a bit disappointed in the new set. While there are definitely new features such as the steam function and larger capacity etc, there seem to be many things where Samsung took a step backwards. Let's go over the dryer. Let's start with what I do like. I like the larger capacity, the cycle memory (even though it seems glitchy and doesn't seem to remember the order the way it should sometimes), the wifi, the design, the closed lint collector (open ones like our past dryer allowed the lint to often fall back into the dryer), super speed drying (though the sensors often turn it off too quickly), and energy star rating. Now, things where I can see improvements need to be made. It seems to happen every load, something gets stuck on the door ledge inside while drying and doesn't remain part of the cycle. Annoying as you have to catch it and fix it manually...every time. The wrinkle release is obviously not made for a single article of clothing as it DRENCHES the clothes and the dry time is not near enough to get it dry. Forget tossing a shirt in before work hoping that it will be unwrinkled in 5 mins like the old dryer. There should really be two functions, one for a whole load and one for a single item. The dry times also seem off, and I have had to manually add more time every time (no memory here, at least not for me). It doesn't seem like the sensors do the job they should for correcting dry times. The button press to start the load can seem a little longer than needed, but heaven forbid you accidentally touch it while moving the knob because a split second brush of the finger and it's back off. Backwards of how it should be. There should be an indicator if a setting is hot or cold, so when you want one or the other it is easy to sort out. It gets confusing at times. The buttons are flat, not tactile shape at all and you have to basically touch dead center to activate them. They would be better to have a slight raise to them so they are easier to find. Lastly, a set this new should allow full control over sound volume and also have a mute function. There is no reason to not have these in 2023. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review

Great Dryer, a few minor gripes

ready2play17 February 19, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After owning a Samsung washer/dryer set for over a decade, I had a good "older" model to compare to for the new features etc. There are definitely several upgrades that make this dryer a great upgrade from the old one, but there are still a few things I think the company can work on. As with the washer, the design on great, and the numerous setting options are amazing to have. We love the capacity over our old one, as well as the introduction of the steam functions. The closed lint trap is a wonderful upgrade over the open one on the old dryer, which often shed the lint into the dryer when removing. One thing that we have noticed is an article of clothing often gets trapped on the ledge of the door, and will not dry or unwrinkle with the rest of the load. It must be caught and manually adjusted. This happens more often than I would like. The same as with the washer, the buttons take longer than needed to hold for turning the power on, yet are too sensitive and accidentally get turned back off at the slightest brush against them. This should be reversed. For both this and the washer, it would be nice to have volume controls for the chimes. I do like the steam unwrinkle function, however it is meant for a whole load. If you try it on one or two items, they will be left drenched and leave you wishing you had not trying to unwrinkle a shirt 10 minutes before needing to put it on. There should be double function, one for the whole load, and one for a single item. To that note, the sensors do not always do the best job at judging how wet things remain. The cycles are stopped prematurely, which is one of our biggest grievances. It was the same with our old system, so this seems to be something Samsung hasn't put a lot of time into addressing. We love the memory functions, but they seem to work better on the washer than the dryer for some reason. Sometimes, they are out of order on the dryer and we have to cycle through more than we did a load or two ago. All that being said, the machine is still a great upgrade and has numerous new features we are still sorting out how to use daily. There will always be small things that could be better, and think that is what we have here.

Great dryer but could be better

cacannonier November 13, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me began with the fact that I really, really wanted to love this dryer. It's beautiful, matches my awesome washer(see review) has so many great settings to choose from, large capacity and even has a steam setting which I use daily but….the dryer sensor must be super sensitive because it doesn't dry my load fully. There is ways around it, such as simply drying a second time or utilizing the “Timed Dry” setting. But as a busy mom and wife this is an extra step and extra time that I honestly sometimes don't have to spare. Again, it is a great dryer but could be better!

No HEAT Dryer

NotHappyHenry September 4, 2023

got a defective dryer. Apparently this is common for this thing. I just ordered a replacement. I hate when companies send out broken products that they know have a defect.
