SAMSUNG DVE50A8800V front load electric dryer

Our old dryer was about 4 years old but let me tell you the technology has improved leaps and bounds over our old unit. Build quality is amazing. Solid and looks like a million bucks in the black color way. We paired the washer and dryer with the matching pedestal and couldn't be happier. Dryer includes a QR code on the door that helps automatically set up the unit in the Samsung SmartThings app and even registers the unit for you with Samsung. The app is very helpful, it alerts you when a load is completed on any connected device. I have it set up to alert my smart watch and any connected device so I even had an alert pop up on my smart tv! This unit also has an AI assistant built in that will help optimize your dry cycle. It will also communicate with your washer to let it know what the best drying cycle is for the load! No more guessing. This unit comes with a large load capacity so you can dry more at one time. Super helpful with 3 young kids. Last feature I wanted to mention that we love is the 1 hour wash and dry setting. You can have the washer and dryer optimize the cycle to get everything done in under and hour. Love it. We highly recommend this unit and it's matching washer. You won't go wrong picking this amazing unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had several dryers in the past, most of them take very long time to dry, but this one, clothes dry very fast, and the moisture sensor on this is great, the dryer stops right after the clothes are dry, I love that, it saves energy and money. I am super happy with this one, hope this dryer last me a very long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our first impressions of the DVE50A8800V were strong and positive. It has a beautiful and clean design that is very modern and premium in its appearance. The black finish doesn't darken the room as we were concerned it would. Instead the polished brushed metal finish and glossy appliance door reflect plenty of light. The dryer doesn't have the same breadth of features as the Samsung WF50A8800AV washer and this is just fine. The features supported are thoughtful and will be put to good use. These include the option to specific a time when you want you laundry to be completed, tracking of the energy usage over time, and a step by step guide to help the average domestic ogre like me figure out what settings to use for my load. They even include sensors to indicate if your duct is blocked which is an issue that can lead to fires if neglected. It's a great package that really brings the appliance into the future. Lots of design consideration went into finding ways to connect the two devices to improve the experience of doing laundry. You can link your washer and dryer in the SmartThings app to automatically set the dryer to an appropriate setting based on the wash cycle you just used. The units can also be stacked and controlled from just the bottom set of controls on the washer--no more step ladder required! It even has it's own dedicated water line you can split off from the washer for true steam generation. You'll find support for advanced phone integration to operate and fine-tune the dryer cycles, AI to predict your dryer cycles and compatibility with Alexa, Google Assistant or Bixby for notifications and control. It's a very impressive technology package. So far we are extremely pleased with the performance of the dryer and have zero concerns. The capacity of this unit (7.5 cu. ft.) is enough for a large comforter with plenty of room to tumble. Just like it's washing machine peer it operates with little noise and no noticeable vibration. And if you're like me, you like to pull out dress shirts while damp to hang and they have you covered with a dampness sensor that does just that. This is a great looking unit and is extremely well paired with the fraternal twin washing machine. I'm looking forward to learning more about the many features and technology it has to offer. Now if I could only just say "Computer, do my laundry" without the need to load or fold and hang my clothes....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The front-load dryer has a very sleek design, I've had an old plain white set for so long that I forgot that it could be more than function. It inspired me to do some additional upgrades to the laundry room for an overall better experience. This thing drys incredibly fast and doesn't overheat your clothes. There are lots of options for types of drying and the ability to refresh items via steam cleaning. The light inside is nice and it has an easy-to-clean lint trap. The washer and dryer also connect to the Smart Things app and allows you to start and monitor the progress no matter where you are. If you select a certain washer setting the dryer knows the appropriate dryer mode to use. It's truly convenient. Overall I've very happy with the purchase and feel this was a much-needed upgrade. We also pick up a pair of pedestal stands to go with the washer and dryer.

I use quick dry feature a lot which dries full load of laundry in 30 minutes. It also has steam function which reduces wrinkles in clothes while sanitizing them. The dryer is loaded with smart features.

I Use the Optiwash setting 95% of the time. At first i was sceptical and was saying there's no way this thing JUST knows what to do on its own ...But it's True! The thing is beautifully made. Its an eye catcher, everyone that sees it says they want to upgrade to mines now. No complaints yet and so far this is the best technology out here to do the job efficiently.

Once the washer was in place and working amazingly we were still able to continue using our old dryer to complete our weekly laundry. Unfortunately once the new dryer was delivered a family member was sidelined by the pandemic and the dryer is still sitting in our basement waiting to be installed. Once installed and usable we will update our review .

The add on to previous purchase is SmartThings integration which alerts me when the cycle is done. The dryer is quiet and usually gets the cloths dry, however for some laid the wet sensor ends the cycle prematurely
