When I was ordering these, I had no idea what I was in for. These are by far the best Bluetooth headphones I've ever owned! Very light weight. Never falls out of my ear. The Bluetooth range is amazing. The ambientsound works great.
Good price for wallet and quality of the product. The sound is clear and gets rid of 90% of background noise and comes with different ear pieces. These wireless ears buds are small and compact and stay in really good.
I've been using bluetooth ear buds for over 5 years. I have shelled out collectively close to $1,000 and tried all the major brands. While my overall experience has been pretty positive, my individual experience with each has been a combination of highs and lows. That is until I tried the Samsung Galaxy Buds. On paper, the features for these things looked pretty amazing - 6 hour playtime with an additional 7 hours stored in the case, wireless charging, automatic pairing when the case is opened, touch controls, I mean, what's not to like? Then I actually put them in my ears and started my workout. This was going to be the real test. When using earbuds, the single most important feature is the fit, because if the bud doesn't conform to your ear properly and create a tight seal, the sound will be washed and the base nonexistent. The way the buds came out of the package did not form that seal for me, but the additional tips and ear stabilizers gave me more options. After switching out the stock setup, I was pleased to find that I was able to achieve that seal, and let me tell you, the sound is impressive. I'm fairly certain the base was the best I've experienced of any buds I've owned. As far as my workout went, the Galaxy Buds didn't move a millimeter. Not when I was rowing, not when I was deadlifting, and not when I was slamming battle ropes. I can't honestly say I've successfully put any other bud through my workout routine without getting at least some movement, which ultimately broke the seal and ruined the sound. I think the Galaxy Buds passed this test for two reasons. First, the stabilizers keep the outer part of the bud firmly in place, and don't allow any space for them to move. Second, the bud itself is almost flush with the ear, so there isn't much projecting outward to create the leverage needed for wobble. Another awesome feature is the ambient sound option. When ambient sound is turned on, you can actually hear the outside world in addition to your music. It's actually quite mind boggling when you use it. I'm assuming it uses the mic that picks up your voice during phone calls to receive external sound and pipe it through the buds with your music. I'm so happy with the performance of the Samsung Galaxy Buds that I keep an additional pair charged in my car to wear when I work. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Galaxy Buds provides an amazing sound experience. I like how I can use it on my tablet, laptop, spin bike and smartphone. Perfect for listening to music and podcasts as well as watching movies and tv shows on my devices. These buds come in handy for walking as well. I like the fit of the buds in the ear, they seem to stay in place. The battery life is great. I especially like the carrying case and charger all in one. This is great for when on the go.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been using wired headphones to listen to music and take phone calls with my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and decided to upgrade to the Samsung brand to match my phone. I wanted something stylish, functional, and gym ready. I got all three with my new Samsung Buds! My biggest concern with bud headphones was whether they would stay in my ears. I had tried other brands and did not feel confident with their ability to stay put during a gym workout. The Samsung Buds, however, are perfection. They sit in my ears with ease. In fact, it is easy to forget that I am wearing them. The sound is crystal clear. Pairing with my phone was foolproof. Took no time at all out of the box. The carrying case is shaped like a jellybean, and it is small enough to fit in your pocket in order to keep your unused Buds safe. I know the biggest PLUS for me is how well they fit in my ears. One more point, so easy to use, I got a pair for mom.
These Galaxy Buds are my first wireless earbuds/headphones that I have owned. I am impressed how slick they are. Connecting them to ntu Galaxy S8 Plus was a breeze. The default earbhd piece makes the buds very comfortable in my ears. The TouchPad is a great touch. I like the customization that is offered in the Galaxy Wear app. I also tested the buds on my work iPad. The sound is great even when connected to iOS devices. I highly recommend these earbuds.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok here is some background, I have the Gear IconX 2016 (the original buds, which everyone copied!) and the Level-U Pro. I enjoyed the portability of the IconX, but the audio quality was not up to par. I switched to using the Level-U Pro, which has very good audio quality, but the portability was not there. I can say now the perfect combo is here, the Galaxy Buds! I have the same (if not better) audio quality and the portability. Compared to the IconX, there are some features missing, such as the HR monitor and onboard storage. However, these features won't be missed. What you do get with the buds, is a more compact form factor, much better audio and more practical features. Setup was a breeze, with great range, no cutting out and the app is great. You can tune the audio and the left/right taps. One of my favorite features is wireless charging! I have been using wireless charging since my Note 2 and have never looked back. Now, almost all my tech is wireless charged. My Note 8, my Gear S3 and now my Galaxy Buds! The photos I have below are what is included in the box (note that a power brick is missing), size comparison between the IconX, Buds and power brick for comparison and lastly the difference between the Buds and IconX. I highly recommend them! They have become my daily driver! Thanks Samsung for continuing to create great products!
I tested the new Samsung Galaxy Buds for an extensive period. I wanted to test the functionality of the headphones at home, work, and in between. I was really surprised at the sound quality. I did not expect such a broad range of sound from such a little device. The paring process was really simple while using the Galaxy S10. My phone recognized the buds as soon as I opened the charging case. Then I opened the Galaxy Wearable app and I was notified of an update for the buds immediately. I must say that the Galaxy buds are comfortable and stay in ear while walking, jogging or running. I didn't experience the normal ear soreness from extended usage as with some other headphones. While listening to music, the Galaxy buds did a good job of removing background noise. I couldn't hear much of my surroundings at all. Then, I tested the Ambient Aware feature while at work, and this was really useful. Most people did not recognize that I even had headphones in. The Ambient Aware feature allowed me to hear my surroundings by using the built in mic on the headphones. Portability is also a big plus. Being able to pop the Galaxy buds in and out and having a charging case is a useful tool to have. The charging case is vital at work too. I can get about 5 hours of music listening before having to charge the buds. The coolest feature is having the ability to charge the case and the Galaxy buds. I can get through a whole 9 hour office day having to charge the buds for a few minutes a day. Overall, I recommend the Galaxy Buds for anyone who wants a premium sound from affordable headphones. These particular earbuds do not include a microphone for phone conversations or web based communications. Other than that, these are really nice and work great.
It's fair to say that the most satisfying thing about a new pair of wireless earbuds shouldn't be the process of charging the battery. However, for Galaxy Buds owners who also own one of the variants of Galaxy S10, that may well be the case. I'm not talking about plugging in the USB-C cable, rather the moment you find yourself short of juice, take your S10+, flip it over, place the Galaxy Buds case on to the rear of the phone, and watch the Buds' charging light ping to life. Now *that* is a feeling of deep satisfaction. It's important to note, wirelessly charging your Galaxy Buds from your phone isn't just a party trick, nor is it incredibly useful in a pinch, but it's also an indication that Samsung is thinking of its product line as an entire ecosystem, rather than siloed products. This may seem like an unusual place to begin a review, but it feels like Samsung's wireless earbud line have finally achieved truly wireless status, which is an important landmark. As an owner of both previous generations of their earbuds, the Galaxy Buds feel like everything learnt with the previous generations has been applied. Bluetooth connectivity, a little sketchy on previous models, has been improved to the point that in 3 weeks I've experienced no issues whatsoever. Other more subtle improvements have been made, such as a more compact pocket-friendly case, and its ‘push-button open' mechanism (which failed after three weeks on a previous model) has been replaced with a simple foolproof prise-open design. Where they have learnt from issues of earbuds past, they've also understood and retained the strengths of previous generations, such as the touch-sensitive shell that allows you to control your music without having to rummage around for your phone. The design, too, is subtle. While a certain Cupertino-based competitor has a design that is ugly but unmistakably ‘them', Samsung is content to make the Galaxy Buds almost invisible, which for me, is exactly what I'm looking for. Finally, and most importantly, when it comes to audio quality the clarity and depth of tone and bass is fantastic, and again, a further improvement over the already stellar experiences of previous generations. The only drawback is related to the microphone, which falls short of the high bar set by every other aspect of these buds – feedback I've had is the mic quality is ‘fine', but when every other aspect of the Buds is ‘great', it leaves something for Samsung to improve for the Galaxy Buds 2.
