I can't say nothing. But obviously a pretty advanced cell. Just make sure you buy the leather case and the Walmart protection.
2017, I am out of the country and on a trip to an amusement park and I made the gravest mistake possible: I forgot I had my phone in my jacket pocket. So as you can imagine, the phone falls out from a straight-drop ride. I only realized the phone was missing once I lifted my almost weightless cross purse and I see a worker lifting up a phone. You can imagine my heart sank right at that moment, but behold, my phone is STILL FINE. Yes, it cracked, but the smallest fall would have been almost 20-30 ft !!! It had a few deep dents on 2 corners and only cracked on the top corner where the selfie camera is located :( Unfortunate, but my phone was working perfectly fine, back camera came out unscathed, and the screen is fine as well!! AM I mad? Yes, of course! But luckily it was only the front camera (which just looks a bit blurry) and I can live with that for the next couple of months. I am not upgrading for many different factors, however, it is very expensive to even fix the screen, its basically half the cost of the phone, so that is the only downside about Samsung phones. I would recommend this phone to anyone! I have dropped my phone several times, needless to say it was in perfect condition until I dropped it. However, it is durable, has a great camera with wonderful modes, and is fast! I actually preordered this phone when it became first available on my phone company. I was very happy with the phone, it was everything I thought it would be and the performance was soo much better than the s5 I had at the time. The screen was amazing, the main camera was amazing (front was good, of course still needed a bit more working on). Anyways, THANK YOU SAMSUNG for making such durable phones. Please just think of ways to make it inexpensive to fix them!
This is a great phone so far, just got it so ask me again in a year. One thing I noticed right away is the improved speed over my S5, and the camera's ability to focus. These were two huge areas that caused me to upgrade. Just wish they had this phone with 64GB of internal data available, but other than that it's great. I actually was REALLY looking forward to the Note 7 but we won't even go there. Just hope that Samsung can get everything back under control and reintroduce it because it broke my heart when I heard about the recall and decision to kill it altogether. I don't really care for the "pointed" edge of the Edge model, just harder to grip for me and it feels like a sensitive area for the glass. It does everything conceivable so I can't complain about much. And bringing in the Pro settings in for the camera was GREAT! I always prefer to set my own WB and this puppy will allow me to do that, as well as underexpose a couple of stops if I need to. All in all, you'll love this phone. Just get a SPECK case and you'll be happy.
This is a very nice phone however I am very disappointed that I have not yet received an update to Android 7. My wife, who has an S7 Edge locked to a carrier has already received her update. When I purchased this unlocked phone I assumed that I would get timely updates directly from Samsung. I guess I was mistaken.
Phone has it's perks for pictures and memory! However, I have never been able to use the speaker phone nor hear the phone ring at a high volume. I understand this phone is qell known to have issues with ring volume issues, I had no idea it also had issues with the speakerphone. I don't mind using my headset, so the speakerphone isn't a real problem but missing calls has actually proved to be an issue when I can't reach the caller in a timely manner. The phone screen also has an issue with getting hot to the touch. It's recently started shutting itself off, with a mere seconds warning stating it's overheating. Also I don't seem to get notified of new voicemails, I'm not sure if this is due to my phone or the carrier.
Buyers beware - SM-935U version is the very last model to get Android updates (yet to get the Android 7 update). Not a fair deal, assuming you pay the full money and treated like this.
The ads and specs lead you to believe this will work on virtually all US carriers. There are at least some regions of the US where you can not get LTE data speed on AT&T's network with this phone. You have to enter new APN settings for HSPA to get data working at all. I had to return the phone; it's unbearable at 2005 data speeds. It's noticeably missing LTE band 17, which AT&T relies on.
Samsung is not updating this phone, which is stuck on May 1st security patch. All US carrier versions of this phone got updated and this version that is not blocked by any carrier is not seeing any update. Samsung doesn't provide any means to document bugs. It has a bug that is seriously crippling my interaction with the phone. There is "Auto check spelling" in the Samsung keyboard app the underlines in red words that are misspelled. This function works in every app but is not working the email app and i live off the email app. The hardware is awesome (and deserves five stars) but the hardware itself with not fix the bugs or develop security updates by itself to improve the overall grade of the device. For hardware you get five stars, but overall one star because your software is full of bugs and you do not issue updates.
if you really want this phone, get from a carrier. this phone(unlocked) is still running 6.0.1 and on the December 1 ,2016 security patch. no word when it will get 7.0.0 or the latest security patch
From day one this phone has been nothing but issues. The phone is SUPER GLITCHY and turns off and on when it wants. Apps randomly stop working all at once. I have to restart and sometimes reboot 2-3 times a day. I have had to fully wipe this phone twice. Now it no longer vibrates so my only choices are ring or silent. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS PHONE and I am a SAMSUNG person 100% so i am so disappointed in this product and the lack of help to get either a new one or get mine fixed.
