This tablet is great. It has good colors, is fast, and has a good battery life. I am very happy with it. But BE CAREFUL WHICH ONE YOU ORDER!! If you are buying the 128 GB version, be sure to get the one in silver color SOLD AND SHIPPED BY WALMART. It is the US version. The 128 GB in the gray color and sold by Spice Mobile is INTENDED FOR INTERNATIONAL SALE AND USE, NOT IN THE U.S. When initially setting it up, one must select a region. The US region is not an available option. While the tablet will still operate, the region setting can affect warranty coverage, certain applications, subscriptions, and what is available in app stores. Tablets can also function differently based on the region. Unfortunately, there is no mention of this fact in the product description. The Walmart one gets 5 stars. The Spice Mobile one gets 1 star.
Already, just after charging and set up this is far superior to my last tablet. It eas especially easy to setup myself since I also have a Samsung phone. Intended to use it mostly as an e-reader, but I also I'm already sure I'll use it for my writing and other stuff. I got this to replace an old tablet, which was an Amazon Firetab. I've had Samsung tablets before that and will always after.
Bought the a9 , then this came out the next day! Such an amazing tablet for $200, but I wouldn't have minded paying the full $250. Great speakers, snappy, 6gb of ram, good screen, long battery life. it's so thin and light it can come anywhere with me. 7 years of updates are awesome!!
I was a little wary of purchasing any A series tablet again due to how slow and laggy the A7 lite I purchased from Walmart previously was, and the A3 lite before that. Those were barely usable for even basic tasks at the time. But since this was a Plus model and what my local WM had, I decided to try it. The difference with the A11 is night/day. It’s been quite fast and responsive for most any tasks I’ve threw at it.
This is my first expensive tablet. At least what I consider expensive. Thought I'd buy myself something nice for a change since it was reduced in price. This blows any other tablet I have ever owned out of the water. The colors are vibrant. The sound crisp and clear and loud. It's sleek. The best part is the battery life. I mostly browse the internet or read books and comics on it. Haven't tested streaming, but so far the battery life last quite a long time. The recharged seem a lot faster than what I am used to. I definitely recommend buying, especially if money is option, it's worth saving for and better than the cheaper tablets.
I was disapointed that the system seems to be for everywhere except the US. Perhaps this was the indicator of the cheaper price. I was able to work around this, but found it causing some issues with some of the applications which did not list English US as a region. This should have been noted in the description. I would not purchase from this seller again.
I live in Michigan, United States. to set up the tablet you have to set your language, which for me is English US. Then the country or territory. United States is not an option. Canada is not an option. I had to set it up for Virgin Islands US territory. Time zone. Detroit, Chicago, Indianapolis, are not options. I had to use Eastern and then adjust time for local. For my use it works. watching movies, games, reading, scroll on the internet. however if I'd have known this prior to purchase I might have passed. I have questions about any kind of warranties. I've just never run into this before. It's nice but buyer beware.
Be cautious when purchasing ANY consumer electronic from Walmart. They do not stand behind the manufacturer, including Samsung. A defective Samsung A11 tablet, which was used for under 2 weeks before the screen started gliching, was returned for replacement, and they would not do anything - leaving me to deal with sending the tablet away for any repair or replacement. I would recommend NEVER purchasing any electronic device from Walmart - unless the cost of the item with warranty for 2 years, is cheaper than purchasing it anywhere else. If you go on price, it turned into a $200 gamble, which you will not win, even with a defective device that could easily be replaced without an issue (but won't).
This tablet is not compatible with the US. The united states are not listed in the options for "regions" upon set up, and if you select a different region, it will not allow you to set up parental control for your child because your account and their account are not based in the same country. ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING. WHY IS THIS BEING SOLD IN THE US IF IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE IN THE US!?
Personally, I hate it. I have used Samsung tablets for years but this one is too complicated for me. The switch from the older tablet was not easy and It downloaded things i didn't want and can't locate to discontinue. constantly getting notifications from weird places and people. I just will try to use my old tablet and hope it lasts forever.
