Great Product
This tablet fills a niche of semi-rugged small tablet with excellent GPS capabilities.
I have been using Tab Active 3 for about 4 months now. It's incredibly smooth and powerful. The build-quality is top notch. This device is not too small and not too big - just right and easy to hold in my hand - just perfect size !!! The screen is very nice on the eyes. If you are in the market for a durable and portable tablet, go straight for Tab Active 3 - no need to look at fragile and easy-to-break tablets from Apple or others.
The description clearly stated: “Field-ready design and LTE connectivity…”, however, the device I received was a Wi-Fi only device with no data capability. I used the serial number and confirmed with Samsung that the device was not capable of a data connection. Waste of my time purchasing and returning this because of an a false/inaccurate description. I don't know if this was just because they did not have the correct device or because somebody listed it incorrectly. Either way it resulted in an annoying waste of time and inconvenience. Thankfully, Walmart's return policies, while headed in the wrong direction, are still easy enough to work with for items that are not third party and I was able to return locally.
Junk. Too many errors. Turns off and won't come back on unless it's attached to charger. It keeps saying ERROR and won't let me update. Turns off all the time without me doing it. Junk. Don't waste your money
Bought this in April of 2024 over a cheaper, non-ruggedized tablet because I use it to collect biological data in the field. The unit comes with a ruggedized case, but apparently does not have any screen protection... only the body of the case. First time we dropped the unit on a rock the screen exploded. Not only that, but Samsung does not manufacture replacement screens for these units, so it is nearly impossible to fix this issue unless you can pull a screen off of an old one. Do not recommend the extra money for an equally fragile product
