Although other reviews don't express a big improvement over the original "s" I personally think this is way ahead. Although being lighter and thinner, the biggest improvement is performance The new cpu and extra gb of ram seem to make a huge difference in speed over the older model The Amoled display is as excellent as ever being the best on the market and now in 4:3 format for easy browsing and everyday use Don't hesitate, just buy it. You won't be dissapointed !
I've owned other Samsung tablets in the past, and by far, none of them can compare to the Galaxy Tab S2. It's fast, and has a beautiful screen with vibrant, detailed colors, and is very lightweight. All apps works perfectly without any lag. I love it!
Missing some key features: NFC/flash/4k/slow-mo/S-Pen/ Fast charge. The RAM and GPU performances could be more optimal. But the overall experience is great, feels light, still a very fast device. My only down side is the charging time that could be faster. I'm using it for drawing/music/presentation and more. And never found it bugging on any aspect. My only regret is that the stereo(mono sound) speaker are not loud at all, with a low dynamic and high distortion at 75%. But I give a 10/10 for the Amoled screen for movies and photo viewing. Put your screen in BASIC mode to have the most color accurate screen. The performances could have been better I believe, as I am always surprised that a flagship smartphone is still multiple times better then a tablet. For non professional usage you will not find any issues, unlike me who likes pushing the device to the limit.
Very pleased on the whole. I have two issues. One, the battery runs down very quickly, even though I don't have much running. The other, I like to use SwiftKey as my keyboard but it keeps reverting back to the Samsung keyboard. SwiftKey tell me it is an Android issue on some Samsung devices. Otherwise it is a brilliant tablet.
I'm loving this. The pic quality is awesome, it's easy to use. It really does the job. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review: a niggle, but why no flash for the camera? I'd like a little more control over taking pic's. But in general, delighted with it. Super wee product.
The Samsung tab s2 (9.7) is a fantastic product, slim, powerful and lightweight. It can handle anything i throw at it, games, streaming, and the odd work document. It looks beautiful and certainly performs well but there is only issue I have with it..The battery life is fairly short, and it does not recharge very quickly, that aside its never actually ran out while I was in the middle of anything. My wife has an Ipad mini and my daughter an Ipad air 2, both great tablets, but they do like using my S2 every so often due to the weight and speed and both comment on how easy it is to use. It has also upgraded to android 6.01 and runs smoother because of this. Overall this a fantastic tablet which I would have scored a straight 5 if the battery management was better, thoroughly recommended.
I am disappointed that I can't use a fine tipped stylus pen for art work, as I could with the previous model. I can use a thick soft tip pen but that is no good for fine detail.
I bought this for business as well as the Camara and I HATE the fact I can't say smile or shoot or any voice commands for the camera. Not having this feature is messed up!! Especially since I paid a small fortune for it!
Had this tablet for three months and have had to factory reset it twice and put it in for software/hardware repair . I'm sure it has a lot of very good features if I could get to use them .When I could use it, it had a good clear screen, paged quickly and was light and slim. For the money? Got to be better products out there.
I liked the tablet initially, but the first failed to turn on after just 3 weeks and after replaced the second unit in 3 months. I am about to change it again. Reading on the internet I found that units cannot be turned on if batteries run out. It is very frustrating. If you have a tablet this should not happen. Apparently if you disconnect the battery, then it will be OK again. Unfortunately opening the unit and doing this will lead to loosing the warranty.
