I like this keyboard in use , decent tactile feedback, looks good and well made with a quality feel. I like the hinge design, it works well at holding the tablet and setting it up at an angle. It is a bit expensive but most same name accessories are these days unfortunately. The flaw - it has a rear camera hole recess but no hole. You can not use the camera if the cover is on. Why have a recess and no hole, very strange. How on earth did this pass the design review. At this price I would expect Samsung to rectify the problem and replace it as soon as possible.
Great little keyboard but the @ button does not work. That is a pretty important key that you need.
I Just got my galaxy 3 and keyboard cover had it less than 2 weeks. I love the fact that I can see everything clearly. The only problem I had was using the ! mark in my log on password. It would never work until I did it without the keyboard. I don't know why, so I changed my password without the !. I love the way the pad locked into place .
I really like this keyboard. It is lightweight, it does not require charging, the pen attachment is very strong, and it does not require any bluetooth setup but it does require that you make sure the tablet is seated correctly on the pins. It is very easy. What I DO NOT LIKE is that there is no camera hole. I use this to take notes at school and if there was a hole for the camera, I would be able to take a picture of the slides being presented in order to augment my notes. If I want to take a picture using this keyboard/cover, I have to remove the tablet from the keyboard, take the picture then re-attach the keyboard. All of that causes me to miss a lot of note taking opportunity. Come on Samsung, add the camera hole and make it perfect.
This is a beautifully engineered keyboard cover. It pairs smoothly and just has perfect fit and finish. The quality is great. My only complaint is, to work with a small and mobile tablet, the cover provides no protection against drops. I would have liked it if the cover extended a little more past the tablet on the outside corners and there was something besides magnets to hold the tablet in place, so the cover would take the impact if dropped onto say the kitchen's tile floor. I have seen too many phone screens cracked to not be concerned, especially with kids in the house. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The case is of good quality and the key board is well-designed and works well, The case is still relatively thin despite the presence of the key board. However why no hole in the case for the camera? The Quick Start Guide refers to a rear camera hole but there is none. Quite useless if you want to take pictures. This must be a serious design fault / oversight by Samsung. The case without keyboard has a camera hole. Given the high price of this item I trust if they make an early design change to rectify this, owners of this version will get a complimentary exchange.
Purchased about a month ago from a third party reseller at less than the RRP. As a keyboard it's pretty good considering its size. I can type quite accurately on it. However some of the keys do not seem to work (the right hand keys on the ~# key). There's no magnetic sensor to turn the screen on when opening or off when closing - a couple of flat stick flexible magnets solved that issue. My main issue is that the tablet is simply held in place magnetically. The keyboard/case would offer no protection if it were dropped.
Read independent reviews and forum comments and you will see that this product is not fit for purpose. The keyboard is tempremental, jumps in the document, leaves searches in browsers. I have got used to taking twice as long to use this. I paid full price and expected a quality product - nowhere close!
Case is too small to offer any protection, the magnets are too weak so tab falls off. It will not stay closed, weak magnets again. It pairs easy and works good but not really usable if the tab is going to fall out on the floor. Also the color really sucks for a black tablet. I am now using the Logitech cover from my tab s2 and it works as I expect a keyboard cover to work. It just don't fit quite perfect but is way better fit and protection than the Samsung.
Unbelievable that a Samsung can design and sell a cover for their own product that doesn't have the camera hole cut out? There is an indentation where it should be cut through but that's it - such a fail, especially at that price! Come on Samsung, sort it out or at least tell us when you will rectify this embarrassing design flaw own goal.
