As with all new things it takes time to get to know and understand, and there are some good and some bad changes. My main disappointment at this time is not being able to access the Galaxy store for watch faces, as I had some great ones on my Active 2 watch. Great idea with customising the watch and strap, I have also got the Milanese Strap as an extra which is a great enhancer.
I love this watch. I wear it everyday to work. I like the power saving option because the battery lasts me all day. I can call and control my music from the watch, so that's a plus for me. I have a small wrist, and the band that the watch comes with makes my wrist look funny, so I bought a band online. I like that we can customize the watch.
I love this watch! I bought the 44mm one. This is my first smart watch and I'm super happy with it. I got the bigger one to have a bigger battery and the battery life is pretty good I don't understand the hate of it really. I can charge it up quickly and it lasts me through my sleep tracking all night and then I can get through day and charge it quickly in the evening for my next night of sleep tracking. Gives me all the notifications I want at work without me having to check my phone, tracks all my steps and tracks all my workouts with no issues. Love the body scanning feature too. Only thing I don't like is the blood pressure monitoring as you need a separate piece of equipment to make it work and that bummed me out a bit but not a deal breaker. The design is gorgeous, very sleek and simple and the screen is beautiful, bright and clear. Over all, love this watch. Looking forward to seeing more from Samsung in the future.
i love this watch. it works great, tracks my steps, my heart rate, blood pressure, call and text from the watch, and best of all, does not require service to use it like if i would have bought it from at%26t like i started to. i would highly recommend this watch even though its my very first smart watch!!!
I bought a watch 4 a day ago. It's good but has flaws, you need a Samsung phone to use all the features. Samsung health monitor app isn't available on other android phones apart from Samsung. New features like ECG, Blood Pressure and Body composition can't be used with other android phones. If I had know this, I would have gone for Garmin Vivoactive.
Pros: -Coming from an old Samsung Gear S2 Platinum Classic watch, this upgrade was well worth it. I'm not sure it's and amazing upgrade going from Samsung Watch 3 or Active 2. -It integrates very well with my Samsung Note 10+ and the connection is flawless. It absolutely complements the phone and vice versa. -I'm using my phone much less since I have this watch. It helps a lot with navigation, message/email replies, alarms, health stuffs, weather forecasts, reminders, camera use, stopwatch/timers, Calendars, etc... Cons: -The battery life is not the best when compared with other smartwatches from reputable companies. It does keep up to two full days before needing about 2hrs of charging. However, the software makes it up for me. I don't mind charging every evening while watching TV or dining for about 1hr. -The use of ECG and Blood pressure monitor from the Samsung Health Monitor. One of the biggest downside is this. The app is not available in Ireland which is really annoying. While Ireland was added to the list, it's still unavailable for no clear reason. This was a big reason why I decided to upgrade from my old watch that is still working perfectly. -Scratches. The black parts. The aluminium version scratches really bad and really fast. Huge downside as well. Do what you can to protect it.
Bought this watch as an upgrade but the battery barely lasted 24 hours. The watch works well but when I spoke to support about the battery life, they told me to minimise and close most features of the watch that make it desirable to save battery. It still did not save any battery.
Its a nice looking watch but very disappointed as i only brought it for the ecg app but the app on the watch says update is needed but when you try and update it a message appears saying not compatible with this watch and cant use the app so not very pleased
I had the original galaxy watch lte which had great battery life compared to the galaxy watch 3 which I replaced it with(mistake) and now I have the galaxy watch 4 classic (even bigger mistake) battery life is shocking and that's with most of the features turned off ,use lte and it just overheats all the time it's going the journey shocking
Lovely watch hardware let down by Samsung and Google's shockingly poor software. Almost every workout has major HR tracking issues. No updates have yet fixed the issues. Almost every cycling workout ends up in a complete HR recording failure. A cheap fitness band worked fine for years. Why did I bother buying something 15x the price? Apart from that the battery is awful. Oh, and Gmail notifications do not even vibrate since release date and still don't. Mountain bike tracking has no GPS option. GPS tracking can't be turned off for walking workout making the battery life even worse. The option doesn't do anything. The watch looks great and the screen is nice and that's all it's got going for it. Samsung don't appear to care to fix as I've contacted them multiple times as have others.
