Samsung MX-T40 Sound Tower High Power Audio 300W, Black

the tower is about 60lbs of power; it comes ready to play. the 5 speakers are excellent at any volume. i like it, sounds great, the bi-directional sound fills the room with crisp and great sound, and with dynamic bass it sounds perfect. the rms 1500w is amazing and it plays from different sources, it's ready to party or dj. the multi-connection is great to keep the music going. sound effects give a club feeling. it is ready for a mics for speaker or karaoke since it has 2 mics input with echo adjustments per. the lights are a plus, different modes for different moods. i like it is splash resistant. i would have liked the power cable to be easier to connect but it is not bid deal. overall is easy to carry, no need for cables to get the party going. it is built well and sounds great.

I got this speaker yesterday and had it set up in less than 2 minutes and running off ofBluetooth, my cable box, USB stick and my video game console. I haven't tried karaoke mode, but I am interested if this can be used with my electric guitar as well as it has the mic connection to do so. Bass works well enough in bass mode. I used my Bluetooth connection to send music to the speaker and adjusted sound pitch from mobile phone based app. You need to download and install their Samsung GiGA-Party audio app to control features remotely. It is cool to play with LED light settings from the app. I am excited to bring this to an outdoor space AND see how it works. I may have to invest in getting a second one to use as a paired device. It looks really cool. That you can add up to 10 together!!

Very powerful and loud. Its amazing. I bought it from a guy at a bargain and I am very surprised. Would of been great if it could have some more connection settings and other settings. Would also be better if it could sync with a decent soundbar.

Half of the people who rate this probably never used the full 300 watts this puppy can pull. Dynamic Mode is turned off on default, which like means that the stock audio is doing between 25-50 watts which can give you a very lack luster audio fidelity. I recommend this if you dont plan to take this anywhere outside a place that doesnt have plugs as this isnt portable (like to the beach). With that said, I would recommend this if you are looking to have a party speaker at home. Its deep and very loud. It shakes my 9x12 room, and can be heard from my backyard to the street (150-200 feet). I like it and I would buy it again if I have extra cash.

when i am in group play i cannot control the volume on both speakers simultaneously with the samsung app. i can control the host speaker volume but i then have to manually change the other speaker or use three other remote. this is not convenient. is there a solution to this?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was impressive when it arrived- I was blown away by the size- I thought it was going to be about 1/2 the size it is- I was first attracted to the Samsung Sound Tower because the website showed it being used around a pool! I thought this would be great for the warmer weather and gatherings around the pool! The advert showed it being splashed on and I assumed safe to get wet. The first warning in the instructions was "do not get wet" (in so many words) so that was disappointing. The top panel is enclosed and one-piece rubber-type panel, which is "splash resistant" so that will help near the pool. Then because it was so big, that meant that I could not leave outside for fear of rain. So again, I was disappointed. However, the sound quality was amazing- almost too good- This is a pretty powerful speaker for normal inside every day listening, this was made to party! I am sure this speaker would be great in a large space for any kind of gathering or party- when we can safely do so! I like the different modes for different music genre, there was a definite difference between them all, I also think I like the way you can pair up to three for true stereo effect. But if you do - be prepared for LOUD! Although loud it was clear and crisp - not scratchy like your parent's speakers. Connecting via Bluetooth was fast and easy. I think the karaoke mode will be loads of fun for the grandkids this summer. The app you can download has additional controls and features like adjusting the lights with different effects! The app is great because you won't have to drag the remote out to the yard or pool for fear of losing it, the app also helps to keep others from changing the music if you want to have total control! - Another feature is being able to connect to some Samsung TVs wirelessly. I have a Samsung TV but have not tried yet- I love the ambient lights which change and pulse to the beat of the music! Overall this seems like it is going to be a great Sound Tower. The kids and cats love the great sturdy boxes as well!

the sound coming from this massive speaker tower is more than what i expected. the bass shakes our two story townhouse walls in every room making our pictures ratle and the air itself vibrate with sound. it has a few drawbacks as far as the controls go though. each time it is powered off all sound settings are returned to default levels with no option to leave them set to my preferences. also the app does not let me use itunes music on the app itself but the speaker itself does. all around worth the money, but wish they would have added a few tweeks to the controls.

no sound coming from the unit after 2 months, before that it sounded great, i was expecting a better product out of samsung, i'm a huge fan of samsung and purchased many tv's, phones, etc. they all work together nicely, but very disappointed that it broke this early on.
