I have owned smartwatches since the Samsung Gear S and I have loved everyone of them including the latest and greatest, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. I am still learning all that it can do. Keep up the great work. I'm looking forward to what you can come up with next.
This watch is simply awesome! My last smartwatch was a Samsung Gear 2 and there is no comparison I can make. This is what a smartwatch should be, every advertised feature works well and I have no complaints. The battery life after you give it a few days to learn your patterns is fine for me. I get about 25 hours continous with all the features turned on, with my usage patterns. Actually my phone and watch stay about the same as they drain throughout the day and by the time I get home they have about identical percentage. I even use the AOD all the time, on the watch, every day with lift to wake turned off. So I couldn't be happier! The silicone strap that comes with it is soft and comfortable but you can put any band on it as long as you get correct lug width. The rotating bezel is a must have and would prefer the Classic over the models without. So if you are a watch person and want to get into a wearable device, this is the tech you want!
I have been inspecting my watch and I am happy but wished amazon music was the app for the watch instead of Pandora I don't really like that app I'm an amazon music guy they got the right subscription
I have had numerous smartwatches over the years, and this quickly become my favorite of all of them. This watch has a lot of features, is especially good for tracking health and fitness, and the new Samsung watch interface is awesome. I love that it has the rotating bezel like the Gear S3, and the larger higher resolution display is much better for older eyes. Another thing I ready like is it is much thinner than the Gear S3, so I won't have to worry as much about hitting it on something. I had some concerns about the battery life after reading other reviews, but the battery lasts me almost two full days before I need to charge it. I did change the band to a third-party metal bracelet style like I was used to on my Gear S3. I just prefer those type of watch bands (or real leather) instead of the silicone or rubber ones.
I love this watch. It makes phone calls independently of my cell phone. So I can leave my phone in my car while I'm jogging and still make and receive calls and messages while I track my walks ang jogs. I still haven't discovered all of its features. The only downside is the battery life. It hard pressed to make it through the day even with modest use if the LTE is turned on . Also, in the USA the blood pressure function is disabled. I like the fact that most apps work even though I have it paired with a non-Samsung phone. And those that don't have alternates that can easily be downloaded from Google play. Overall, I like it. I just wish battery life was a bit longer
Definitely a lot to get used to. Upgraded straight from the original galaxy watch to the gw4 classic. I wanted to hold out until they actually upgraded the battery (got 5 to 6 days with original) but Samsung keeps dropping the ball in that department. Everything else is great so I'm mostly happy. But going from 5 days to barely 2 between charges is a huge difference.
I like the look and it has gear os , but same difference. I actually don't care for the Google maps features after use in real life. It's the same galaxy watch gestures coming from the first one. Solid battery life
I upgraded from the original Galaxy watch which, itself, was a beast of a watch. It was perfect and even had amazing battery life for a full featured smart watch. Galaxy Watch 4 Classic (46 mm) is also an amazing smart watch and brings many improvements, namely the new OS. I, however, like many other Galaxy Watch 4 owners have been experiencing issues with overheating while using the watch in stand-alone LTE mode. This is very frustrating as this is one of the primary reasons I paid for the LTE model. I am hoping that Samsung does the right thing and offers a remedy, hopefully something as simple as an OTA software fix, but would also expect them to replace hardware as needed as well. At this point, I am discouraging friends and family from purchasing these watches until this issue is 100% resolved.
The packaging, for the watch, was less than I am use to for a Samsung product. I usually by Samsung electronics exclusively, but with this, I am going to be shopping around. The Watch did not even come with the usual wireless charger. Not impressed. The watch band reminded me of the ones that I use to get on those old TIMEX cheap watches I use to buy, not what I was expecting.
This watch is great. The only reason for the 3 star instead of 5 is the battery life. Even with the health apps turned off and every battery saving practice it will not last a day. Average use - 2 or 3 texts and no calls. Just being idle on my arm it will go from 100%when I turn it on to 25% in less than 8 hrs. I have to charge it during the day just to wear it. Terrible battery life but a great watch.
