Samsung T7 Shield 1TB USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C Portable External SSD, Blue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Shield T7 4TB for DJing over the past 3-4 years. I store large music videos, mp4 format. 720p, 1080p (because bars and clubs don't have 4k and it's a waste of space at that point.) but it has been super reliable, quick read and write speeds. The durable rubber coating helps protect it while it's stored in my DJ bag and traveling from place to place and also while in the DJ booth in hot, musty, environments. The grip is a nice addition so it stays put, preventing unnecessary movement with all the bass vibrations going on during a gig. Even when I'm doing heavy downloading and a lot of writing processes with my files, or even in the middle of a gig where I'm utilizing software features like STEMS, the SSD only gets somewhat warm. I haven't noticed any throttling due to heat limitations. That grip also adds resistance to vibrations which I covered previously. I bought this when storage prices weren't where they are today, but when I need to buy another drive, it will definitely be a Samsung drive. When I'm transferring many files, the speeds are very acceptable for my use case. It may not be the fastest drive out there, but this is perfect for my needs.

It has backed up our phones and computers. It's a hard copy easy to grab and keep safe for our digital identitys and just an additional way to keep our info safe and secure. I would buy again but the largest size possible.

Massive 4TB Capacity: In an era of 4K video and high-res RAW photos, having 4TB in your pocket is a game-changer. It eliminates the "storage anxiety" during long trips or shoots. Consistent Performance: Using USB 3.2 Gen 2, it delivers read/write speeds of up to 1,050/1,000 MB/s. While there are faster NVMe drives out there, the T7 Shield is praised for maintaining these speeds even during long file transfers without overheating. Compact & Grip-friendly: The rubber coating doesn't just protect it from impact; it prevents the drive from sliding off smooth surfaces like airplane trays or cafe tables.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am using it for 3 years and it is amazing! Works fast and well, connects to many devices easily. Also it is very lightweight and sleek. I am not worried about damaging it as it got wrapped with some protective material. Strongly recommended.

Whether you are working on professional projects or just backing up precious family memories, it provides a level of security that standard portable drives simply can't match!! It has Reliability in Any Environment! The standout feature is its IP65 rating, which means it is resistant to water, dust, and even drops from up to 9.8 feet. If you're often on the move or working in unpredictable settings, you don't have to worry about a small splash or an accidental bump ruining your data. The high-tech rubber exterior also helps with thermal management, keeping the drive cool even during massive file transfers. Also, it has Incredible Speed for Heavy Workloads!! Performance-wise, it uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 technology to reach read/write speeds of up to 1,050/1,000 MB/s. This has helped me significantly by: Saving Time: Transferring large 4K videos or huge photo libraries takes seconds rather than minutes. Editing Directly: The speed is fast enough that you can actually edit files directly off the drive without any lag. Universal Compatibility: It works seamlessly across PCs, Macs, Android devices, and even gaming consoles. YOU GOT TO GET THIS DEVICE!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been extremely impressed with the durability and reliability of the Samsung Portable SSD T7 Shield 1 TB USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Blue). This drive feels exceptionally rugged and well-built, with its exterior giving real confidence when traveling or working on the go. What stands out most is how reliable it has been during repeated transfers of large files—performance stays consistently fast, and the drive never seems to overheat thanks to Samsung's thermal management design. Even under heavy use, it remains stable and dependable, which is exactly what you want when storing important files, backups, or creative projects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ultimate rugged portable SSD for creators, travelers, and reliable daily backups. If you need fast external storage that won't fail when bumped, dropped, or exposed to dirty environments, the Samsung T7 Shield 1TB is one of the best all-around rugged portable SSDs on the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the durability of this product is beyond compare the reliability I know it's always going to be there and the transfer is very easy user friendly and that is a big big plus for me and the thermal that's top tier as well must buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ssd has worked well for me in every way. Plenty of storage, speeds are great considering it is portable. This allows me to switch from my pc to laptop and continue to play games with no issues. Really satisfied.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Magician app is not compatible with my phone it seems but it's the only way to get updates and increase security. So I am very disappointed. My SSD also gets a bit hot just for having it plugged it. It is not as fast as I thought it would be using it's designated cable and all. Overall I like that is sleek, modern and compact but missing the mark on software, heat distribution and speed.
