Minimal setup needed, works on both windows and linux with minimal tweaks. Works best with a thunderbolt usb-C port but can work without one. Great for laptops with dead/dying SSDs, and you don't have the time or tools to pry open said laptop chassis for a raw M.2 replacement.

Nice cables to connect to my Samsung S25 Ultra and super fast transfer of my pictures and videos. I needed something because my Google Photo was out of storage. I feel my files are safe on here.

Plug and play, simple to use. Speed is great for what I needed. The outer cover does get dusty fast due to the rubber-like material, but overall good.

I used this to transfer more than 500 gb data at one setup of file transfer. The write speed was always stable and sufficiently high during the transfer time.

I use it to store the majority of my game library, and the large 4TB capacity has given me plenty of space without having to constantly manage storage. The drive is compact, easy to set up, and has performed consistently since I purchased it. File transfers are quick, and I haven't experienced any issues with data loss or drive failures. The rugged exterior also feels durable and provides a good grip when moving it between locations. After extended use, I can say this has been a dependable storage solution for gaming. If you need additional space for a large game collection, the T7 Shield offers excellent capacity, performance, and durability in a portable package.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Samsung T7 shield 1 TB SSD for storing my wedding photos and some of the photos and videos from my trekking in the Himalayas of Nepal. So the one I got hasn't had any connectivity issues or any heating issues. I have not dropped it once so I don't really know and can't speak on the resistance, but I would hope that it stays intact. The red and white speed is as labeled. It is quite fast and it is more than enough for my case.
