San Luis Sourdough Plain Sourdough Bread, 24 oz, Sourdough Bread, Bag

This bread is very very good for grilled cheese sandwiches. It stays together and toast up real good instead of using butter I use mayonnaise and fry it up. The grilled cheese is excellent. I can’t send a picture this time because it’s gone already. Next time I get it I’ll get a picture.

Love the San Luis bread...have for years. Love the garlic, rosemary , and jalapeno flavors too, but my standard is the plain sourdough. I haven't found any other bread that matches. It freezes and thaws well too!

absolutely the best sourdough breed in the store. Great taste and texture: very moist. Good for toast or straight out of the bag. Excellent for sandwiches.

Great texture and flavors. i moved to Texas no one has San Luis Sourdough, so everytime i go back to Nevada I load up my suitcase to bring it back to Texas! it also makes thw best avacado toast..

So happy I found this bread, so fresh so tasty. !!! really adds to a sandwich, and a piece of toast is not just a piece of toast anymore. 😆 The big slices can be cut in half and used as a whole sandwich made from one piece of bread. Clean, simple ingredients very well appreciated and recommended

I really dislike eating bread make from white flour which is nutritionally worthless, but I do make an exception for SOURDOUGH. Sure, I'd prefer going to a real Bakery that bakes it daily only using the finest European flours, but in Menifee that choice does not exist. This brand of Sourdough bread is definitely DECENT. Not quite as great as the Sourdough one gets warm from the oven from a place like BOULANGERIE, but it's still a really good substitute. I love this SAN LUIS O brand, and until a real live FRESH French and Italian style bakery comes to town, I will keep opting for this tasty brand of bread.

This bread is really good but you definitely can tell when one is made more fresh from one that is not. You also can definitely tell one that has been overcooked compared to one that's cooked for just the perfect amount of time. When it's cooked just right then the bread is soft and moist and the crust is just a perfect. About 45% of the time I get a very dry overcooked slightly burnt bread and crust. But the rest of the time it's just delicious.

I do not like to eat this bread unless it is toasted. I cut it in half, put it in the freezer and take out pieces as needed. It is especially good for grilled cheese sandwiches and BLTs ‘s. It does not taste like San Francisco sourdough but it’s a good substitute.

I love this bread, it's my favorite sliced sourdough. The taste and texture are excellent. It makes fantastic grilled cheese sandwiches and wonderful toast. My only complaint is that it is NOT a 24 oz loaf, as advertised, but a 16 oz loaf. I hate that it is not correctly labeled online. I feel like I got ripped off.
